Eagles win Behind Strong Start

4-15-35
Franky Martinez

Las Eagles Eagles - 6
Cleveland Indians - 2

The Eagles squared off against Eagle killer Victor Martinez and the Indians for the first time since sweeping them in Cleveland a week ago. The Eagles had Julio Perez going out for them against Jake Westbrook.

The Indians were first to get on the board after Grady Sizemore blasted a lead-off homer to right center field that would give the Indians an early one to nothing lead.

After that, Perez started dealing. He got quick innings out of the Indians, working out of potential jams and getting key outs for eight strong innings.

Meanwhile, the bats did their thing. Raymond Smith tied the game up at one in the bottom of the second, hitting an oppo-taco. After Gordon Freeman reached on a single, he stole second. The throw by Martinez was not in time and went sailing over the head of Asdrubal Cabrera allowing Freeman to advance to third. Kanye West would then knock him in on a sacrifice fly giving the Eagles to two to one lead.

The Eagles kept it going in the bottom of the third. Dan Martia blasted a loud double off the top of the center field wall. After a Smith line out, Freeman would hit an RBI double, giving the Eagles a three to one lead.

In the top of the fifth, after a CuDi double, Dan Martia would blast a two run homer to give the Eagles a five to one lead. West would cap off the inning with a two out RBI single, driving in Raymond Smith.

In the top of the ninth, newly acquired Takahashi Saito would come in to finish the game. After giving up a solo homer to Victor Martinez, he would retire the rest of the Eagles to secure an Eagles victory.

Eagles win Fourth Straight
4-16-35
Franky Martinez

Las Vegas Eagles - 4
Cleveland Indians - 3

The Eagles have won their fourth straight game and are now on the verge of sweeping the Cleveland Indians for the second time this season. The Eagles had rapper Lupe Fiasco going up against staff ace of the Indians C.C. Sabathia.

The Indians were able to get on the board first when Johnny Peralta hit loud RBI double to left center, knocking in Grady Sizemore. The ball probably would have been a home run in any other stadium. The Eagles were able to tie the game in the bottom of the second, Willie the Kid knocking in Kanye West with an RBI double.

The Eagles were able to take the lead in the bottom of the third. KiD CuDi started it off with a single. C.C. would throw a wild pitch, allowing him to get to second. Troy So would then blast an RBI triple to deep left, which set the stage for Dan Martia who got him in with a sac fly.

The Indians would shorten the lead in the fourth when Johnny Peralta hit a solo homer to left, shortening the lead to one. In the sixth Michaels would bloop a single to knock in Ryan Garko and tie up the game at three.

In the bottom of the eight, Kanye West would hit an RBI groundout to take the lead and Powers shut it down in the ninth to ensure another Eagles vicotry.

Franky Martinez

Las Vegas Eagles - 4
Cleveland Indians - 3

The Eagles have swept the Indians for a second straight time. In this game the Eagles would have Ando Masahashi going up against ace Fausto Carmona. The Indians jumped on Masahashi early when Johnny Peralta blasted a two run double to deep left, knocking in Travis Hafter and Victor Martinez and giving the Indians a two to nothing lead. Grady Sizemore would hit a solo homer in the top of the sixth to give the Indians a three nothing lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Eagles clawed back into the game. Raymond Smith started the inning off with a two out single. The next batter, Gordon Freeman, blasted a two run homer to center, narrowing the lead to one. Kanye West would then hit a double, setting the stage for David So who would knock him in on a single tying up the game. After a wild pitch, Willie the Kid would hit a single and David would come in to take the lead.

LaMarcus James would come into the game in the eighth and set it up for Powers in the ninth, who would record his fifth save and secure and Eagles victory.

Eagles Dethrone The King
4-17-35
Franky Martinez

Las Vegas Eagles - 6
Seattle Mariners - 3

The Eagles got even with King Felix after getting dominated by him a week ago. The Eagles threw out Long Reliever Lewis Lopez to face the King. Kanye West got the scoring started in the second inning, knocking in Gordon Freeman and taking an early one to nothing lead. Dan Martia added on with a solo homer making it a two nothing lead. But the Mariners weren't going to lay down and die just yet. They comeback from this deficit before and they were determined to do it again. The Mariners loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth. Raul Ibanez would hit an RBI single only resulting in just one run, but cutting the lead to one. With the bases loaded, Richie Sexson up and nobody out, Lopez got a clutch 3-2-4 double play. He would then get Kenji Johjima to ground out and work out of potential trouble.

In the top of the sixth KiD CuDi hit a solo homer. After a Dan Martia double, Freeman would knock him in with an RBI single. The next batter, Troy So, would blast a two run homer to extend the Eagles lead to five. The Mariners would manage to get two more runs off of Lopez, via Ichiro and Betancourt RBI singles, but Takashi Saito and Andrew Yi would shut it down and preserve another Eagles victory.
