Well the bats were present tonite, 32 runs present to be exact. The Pirates and Red Sox had a major slugfest today despite there only being 1 homerun. The Red Sox scored 19 runs off of Bucs pitching but the Pirates were able to come back for 12 runs but that wouldn't be enough. Wakefield and Sanchez did not last long in the game and Buccholz got the win overall although he gave up 6 runs in relief. The Pirates have lost the 1st two games of a 3 games interleague with the Red Sox who came out hitting today.

Amezaga would like to convert to third base in spring training and become the starting third baseman next season.

Wow, that's a lot like yesterday's game against the Yankees, but the Sox won this one. :P

Glanville wants control work. Once his control gets to a D+ or C+, he thinks you should strongly consider promoting him to the Majors.

Amezaga actually can play 3rd base barely, he has a D there but I'd like the give Ikari a chance

I'll have him practice

I know right. I was simulating that game and I was amazed actually.

The Pirates ERA actually stayed at 4.40 after that game

Ikari suggests he work on his Arm in practice, and would like a call-up in time so he could be part of a playoff push.

Glanville also would like a cup of coffee in the Majors. And he loves the name Ross. Fills the void left by Ohlendorf.

The Pirates continue to struggle as they lost a 6-4 decision to the Rangers. The Rangers were in control for the whole game but the Pirates showed life when Travis Buck homered in bring in 2 in the 6th. Down 6-2 in the 9th, Ramon Vazquez hit a 2-run shot that hit off the left field pole to make it a 2 run game but the Rangers would hold on for the win. The Pirates have now lost 4 straight after being swept at home by Texas. The Rangers on the other hand, have won 9 straight and have been red-hot.

The Pirates were able to turn their interleague luck around with an extra innings win at McKafee Coliseum. The game was all about homeruns at the beggining as Ryan Doumit murdered a DiNardo offering for a 2 run homerun but Mark Ellis would answer back in the 1st with a 2 run game tying homerun. An RBI groundout by Jason Giambi would give the A's a 3-2 lead but Steve Pearce, todays DH, would hit a solo homerun to tie it. But the Pirates would get 3 in the 10th inning for a comfy 6-3 lead which would be saved by Hanrahan for the 19th time this season.

Hart, Cedeno, and Pignatello all are happy with the way they've been playing!
