RECAP
The Astros were able to win their 4th straight game today with the help of Jason Castro, who hit the game winning homer in the top of the 9th inning off of Phils closer Jonathan Papelbon, but the big story of the game was rookie pitcher Jarred Cosart, who got his first major league start today due to the struggles of Dallas Keuchel, left the game in the 5th inning due to an apparent elbow injury, it is unclear right now if he will have to miss extended time or not.

Rafael Betancourt: 0.00 ERA(TOP SPD: 95, B/E, SIFB: 2, SLD: 1, CHG: 1)

SCOUTING REPORT: The Colorado Rockies are a great hitting team, it's going to be a challenge for the Astros pitching staff to keep these games low scoring, one weak spot for the Rockies however is pitching, so hopefully the Astros will be able to take advantage and put a lot of runs on the board.

RECAP: As expected, this game quickly turned into a slugfest, with the Rockies wasting no time scoring 4 runs in the first two innings. It was another bad start for Dallas Keuchel as he pitched just 3 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and striking out 3. It looked like the Rockies were going to blow the Astros out until a 5 run 8th inning made it a 9-6 game, which would eventually end up being the final score.

Clemens- 0 2/3 IP, 1 H, 0 SO, 0 ER
Blackley- 3 IP, 2 H, 0 SO, 0 ER

RECAP: It looked like starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel was finally going to have a decent start, until the 4th inning when the wheels came off and the Padres score 4 runs, the day went from bad to worse for Keuchel in the 6th inning when he had to leave the game due to pain in his elbow. The hitting for the Astros didn't do much if any better than the pitching however as the Astros only managed 1 run on 6 hits and struck out 7 times, Padres starter Luebke had a great outing pitching 8 1/3 Innings, giving up just 6 hits and striking out 5 and allowing just one earned run on an opposite field HR by Jose Altuve, his first of the year. The Astros now look to break a 3 game losing streak when they travel to play Joey Votto and the Reds.

RECAP: The Houston Astros got a huge road win today against their NL Central rival the Reds, Nate Eovaldi came into this game winless despite have a sub 1.50 ERA, but he made sure that he got his first win today when he knocked in a run on an RBI single in the 6th inning to give the Astros a 2-1 lead, with great pitching from the bullpen the score would remain the same at the end of the game. With this win the Astros are still in 6th in the NL Central but are now only 4 game back of the division leading Reds. After the game Jason Castro who left the game after trying to making a diving catch was diagnosed with a bruise and will miss 4 days.
