Everyone has been waiting for you to choose a player.

Also, mac, is it alright if I make a new closer? I've been playing exhibition, and frankly, Looper sucks. I'll let you be the new guy's agent.

No problem dawg. Also, I'll have Adams for fielders.

For those who haven't picked yet, or want to start now, Amarillo Phillips is a good choice.

I'm gonna go make that closer now.

Am I allowed to trade clients w/Paul? I'm really starting to take a liking to Carlson...but only if he's cool with it, of course :P He can have my pitcher, staff ace Ramirez.

Massives Already Switching Around Players
March 30-The Massives made a surprise move this weekend, moving former closer Melvin Looper down to AAA, and calling up new closer Robby Monarch, whose scouting report is included at the bottom of the page. Manager BrewersFuzz said in an interview that, "Looper really disappointed us closing out games in spring training. We were wondering what to do, when Monarch exploded on the scene, and started tearing up AAA. He was the answer to our problem. So, we called him up. Hopefully he can get over not having spring training." We will have to see how Monarch will perform, as the season starts Wednesday, April 2.

Massives Win Opening Day Thriller
April 2- The Memphis Massives won their first regular season game, though it looked like they might not for a little bit. Let's get to the action, which started early in the game. Terry hit a 2 RBI double in the bottom of the 1st to put the Massives out ahead, 2-0. The Twins were quick to answer though, as starter Jason Ramirez threw a wild pitch that got by catcher LaRue to score Mike Lamb from third, to make it 2-1. In the 4th, Nishikawa hit an RBI single to extend the lead. Mike Lamb scored again in the 5th though, on a solo homer to make it 3-2. Kennedy erased that run with scoring LaRue with an RBI ground-out in the 5th as well, to make it 4-2. In the 7th, Ramirez's last inning, Brendan Harris hit an RBI single to make it 4-3. In the 8th, Benjamin Yakker was brought in, as the set up man. He set up the Massives for a loss though, giving up a 2 RBI double to put the Twins up for the first time, 5-4. The Massives came up to bat in the bottom of the 9th, with their 7, 8, and 9 batters set to bat. Nishikawa and Griffin both grounded out. LaRue hit a 2 out single, putting the top of the order up with Adams, who hit a single that advanced the tying runner, LaRue, to third. Adams stole second then, to put the winning run on second, and the tying run on third, with two outs for Oliver Kennedy. Kennedy delivers, smashing a 2 RBI single to right center, winning the game for the Massives. What an Opening Day! We caught up with Kennedy after the game. Here's what he had to say; "I was really nervous, but I put that out of my mind. I just wanted to put the ball in play, and give Will(Adams) and Rick(LaRue) a chance to score. I freaked out when I hit it, and the whole team tackled me, and we celebrated. It was fun." The next game we can cover will be again against the Twins, this time in Minnesota on the 9th. Until then, see ya!

Massives Maul Twins
April 9, 2008- The Massives beat the Twins again, this time by many more runs. Reggie Carlson pitched a gem, going 9 innings, with 10 K's and 0 runs. The Massives got out to an early lead again, as Matt Cruse scored on a passed ball in the 2nd, and Griffin knocked in another run with a single to make it 2-0. The Massives tacked on some more runs in the 3rd, when Phillips brought in Gordon with an RBI double. Action died down in the middle innings, until the 8th. Amarillo Phillips unloaded on a fastball, driving it deep to right field and over the fence to score himself and Kennedy, making it 5-0 and giving the Massives a comfortable lead going into the 9th. It wasn't comfortable enough for the top of the order though, as Adams hit an RBI double off the wall to score Nishikawa, and then Kennedy knocked in 2 more to make it 8-0. Those were the last runs, as the Massives cruised to another win. We caught up with game MVP Reggie Carlson after the game. "I was really feeling it today. I just kept throwing what was working. They really couldn't hit the slow curve, especially Gomez." He says that last part with a chuckle. "Hopefully we can keep playing this well." The next game we cover is on the 17th, in Chicago against the White Sox. Ryan Techer is scheduled to pitch. Until then, see ya!

YAY! A new member! Welcome! :D

Thanks!

Do you want to be an agent? What you do is pick a player, and pretty much cheer them on, and have bragging rights when they do good. The roster and list of players taken is on the first page. You can have 2 players.

Sure! I'll pick Cruse and Monarch, who seems like a total boss. 8)
