Roger Anybody sat in his home office, making the final preparations for the new league.

He was beginning to have mixed feelings. The initial sense of excitement he had felt when he’d first gotten the news of the NABA was beginning to fade, slowly being replaced by a sense of worry. Regardless, he put the finishing touches on divisions and sat back in his chair, proud of his work. He had decided to stick with the name’s “American League” and “National League”, and kept the DH Rule in effect for just the one league. Much of the other aspects of the league would be the same as the MLB as well, such as having an All-Star break, the same trade deadline, September call-ups, and the playoff format. The draft would be held in a week’s time, and come April, the league would be fully in swing.

The divisions were laid out like this:

AL East
New England Sting
Buffalo Warriors
Ottawa Canadians
Rochester Charge
Orlando Chipmunks
Charlotte Yetis

AL Central
Toledo Predators
Minneapolis Cobras
Memphis Firebirds
Konami Sluggers of San Antonio (San Antonio Sluggers)
Green Bay Huskies

AL West
Fresno Samurais
Tacoma Whalers
Sacramento Lions
Las Vegas Vipers
Colorado Springs Angels

NL East
Scranton Wings
Miami Lobsters
Syracuse Eagles
Jacksonville Braves
Dover Wildcats

NL Central
Round Rock Rexes
Nashville Dragons
Columbus Dodgers
Richmond Patriots

NL West
Honolulu Gunmen
Phoenix Tomcats
Utah Bulldogs
San Jose Falcons
Vancouver Giants

A few of the teams were still missing managers, and the Tomcats were out of an owner, but there was plenty of time to take care of that before the new season started.

Anybody filed everything away and flipped the light switch. A statement would be released to the public tomorrow.

I just wanted to point out that 3 of the team names you made up for this are extremely similar to the team names I created for my project. They're all in the AL East, too. :P

Oh, and I'd choose the Predators.
