Late scoring leads to no decision for Jonathan in 6-4 victory:

Against the Pirates, the Successes scored early, scoring 4 runs in the first 3 innings, meanwhile Jonathan was doing great at keeping the Pirates off the scoreboard. In the 7th inning, with the score being 4-1, Jonathan threw a few bad pitches, giving up a couple home runs, and 3 runs which tied it. After Jonathan stomped around the mound in anger, manager William did the smart thing and took him out. Robin was put in the game, since he had recently requested more playing time, he pitched 1.1 shutout innings, the Successes scored 2 in the bottom of the 8th to give him the win, and get a 2 game winning streak started. Zero closed the game out for the save, Capps took the loss for the Pirates.

After the game:
Successes: 14-18 record, 4th place.
Pirates: 18-14 record, 1st place.

Alvin wants to know how many holds he has, and also his batting stats. Marvin is glad that he's getting SB opportunities.

I won't be writing summaries of every game I play, but it seems worth noting that Morgan has just hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the 9th inning.

Anybody want their clients practicing anything in particular?

3 holds.
.556 AVG
10 hits
2 home runs

Anything else?

Also, Alvin has expressed concern with the success of this team, if he would like, I could ask around to see if any winning teams are interested in a trade, otherwise, I will be happy to listen to any suggestions he may have to improve the team in any way.

This is what he tells me: "Yeah, I got a suggestion. WIN THE GAMES.". He obviously is concerned. Before you deal him, however, I want to know the terms of his current contract.

It appears he has a 1 year deal, for 390 points, eligible for Free Agency in 5 years.

10-5 loss at home leads to manager agreement with Starting Pitcher Wall:

In last night’s game against the Marlins, Wall pitched 2 innings and a few pitches, he allowed 8 runs, and went out with elbow pains, reliever Morgan pitched 7 innings in a mop-up role allowing 2 runs. Wall walked away from this horrible performance with an excuse “He says he can’t play in the rain.” Manager William said, “He claims his beard gets all wet and weighs him down so he can’t play well. I’ve agreed after this performance, to never start him in rain again. Although he may have faked the injury, he wouldn’t have purposely lost us the game to make a point.” Later, a reporter got an interview with Wall, “I just can’t play with my beard weighing me down, it’s so much heavier when it’s wet, I can’t keep my head up.” he said. “Have you considered shaving off your beard?” the reporter asked. “I’ve TRIED, man!” Wall yelled angrily, before storming off. Vanden-Hurk got the win in the game, Terry hit his 6th home run as well.

After the game:
Successes record: 15-21, 5th place.
Marlins record: 18-17, 2nd place.

Alvin is unhappy as a set up man. He wants you to deal him to a contender and get back a pitcher who can pitch without getting his beard wet.

EDIT: Speaking of beards, I'll take Beardy-Boy when Alvin gets traded.

I have a proposition for Alvin, how about, instead of trying to trade him right away, I give him a test period, as the #6 starter, replacing Wall, who will be temporarily put in a reliever role. If he's so confident in his pitching, this will be a good chance for him to lower his ERA, and give the team some wins. If he successfully lowers his ERA, contending teams are more likely to want him with them, and may trade more in return. If Alvin doesn't perform too well though, there's a possibility no good teams will want him, and he'd be stuck with us.

If Alvin performs great he has a choice at that point, he can keep the #6 spot, or he can wish to be traded away, if the teams record has shown no signs of improvement. In the event of a trade, I believe it would be interesting to see if Alvin can pitch well, without Patrick catching.

Alvin will give you two starts.

Alvin moved to #6 starter:

Manager William moved Alvin to the #6 starter. "It seemed this was the only choice I had, to keep Alvin on the team for at least a little longer. He seems quite insistent on wanting to be traded to a contender. I hope before he's done the two starts he promised, our team will pick up it's play and manage to move up enough to convince him to stay. We'll need him in the long run, or else we'll probably never have a chance."

I want to know if you used the stats from Success Mode or just upgraded the stats so that they would be better.
