OAKLAND -- The New York Yankees have made another trade, this time with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees have sent right fielder Shelley Duncan to the Rays in exchange for left-handed pitcher Kurt Birkins. Duncan was batting .240 in twenty-five at-bats over sixteen games, while Birkins had no playing time yet this season at the point of the trade.

OAKLAND -- The Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have made a trade in which right-handed pitcher Scot Shields and first baseman Kendry Morales are headed to Milwaukee in exchange for second baseman Hernan Iribarren. Iribarren is a rookie with only one at-bat so far this season, and Scot Shields was a major part of the Angels bullpen, which makes it unsure why the Angels would want to make this trade.

May in Review

ARLINGTON -- The Athletics have had one of the worst months ever, going 8-19, and going on a ten game skid before winning the final game of the month. The bright point of the month was the acquisition of shortstop Yunel Escobar, who started out well, homering in his first game in an Athletics uniform, but really struggled during the losing streak. There's nothing really to say about the month of May for the Athletics except that it was a horrible month, and we just need to at least have hope of picking ourselves back up eventually.

June Preview

Coming off a horrible month, the Athletics are hoping for a good month in June. June is the month of the draft, so it will be interesting to see which player ends up where. There will also be more interleague play this month. The Athletics have already played a three-game series against the Braves in which they won only one of the games, and in June they will be playing the Giants, Diamondbacks, Marlins, and Phillies, so it will be interesting to see how they do against those teams.

You know what, I'm not really having fun doing this. There's no point in doing this if it's not fun. I LOVE playing my Rays season mode, that's why I play every single game. This isn't fun because I'm not playing any of the games at all. I'd rather be playing maybe one or two games a series. I'm going to start a poll as to which team I should play as. Let this die, and I'm going to start a poll thread, then a thread for a new franchise log.
