Uh, off the top of my head Zack has high B stamina, B control, 95 MPH top speed, 3 curve ball, 6 fastball, five slider, and a five change up.

Sorry, I'm playing OOTP right now. I meant he has a maxed 2-seamer. Sorry.

Joey Gathright is one of the more athletic players in Major League Baseball. And he proves it every night, in every at-bat, and in every fielding attempt. He does his best and sometimes, his best is more than what a team needs to win a ballgame. Tonight, it was. He took Curt Schilling for what he's worth every chance he got, and pretty much stuck it to the Red Sox the entire game. As seen in the picture above, he's no stranger to crashing into walls or making fantastic plays and making them look easy. He also has excellent wheels, which he's not afraid to show off.

The Red Sox catcher, Jason Varitek, had this to say after the game about Gathright:

Jason Varitek wrote:
"None of us knew what that kid was going to do from one minute to the next. He was completely unreadable tonight, and he knew we were confused. He played that to his advantage and ended up going 3-4 with some terrific glove work. Y'know, I'm excellent at calling games, but whenever this guy was up, he was able to get the bat on the ball no matter what. That's scary good."

Not only was the opposing teams' players singing praises, but their manager was as well.

Terry Francona wrote:
"I'd love to platoon him and Ellsbury in the outfield. It would be fantastic. I can see it now: Ellsbury in center, Manny in left, and Gathright in right. They [Gathright and Ellsbury] could cover the entire outfield by themselves, probably."

It was a great game. The Royals came away with the win, 9-6, to improve to 2 and 0 on the season. Gil Meche pitched a complete game for the Royals, striking out eight and allowing five runs to score. He also walked five.

Josh Beckett takes on Brian Bannister tomorrow at Kauffman stadium. The Red Sox attempt to avoid the sweep.

********************************************************************************************************************************************************************JOSHUA FARLEY INTERVIEW

A young, confident General Manager is one of the key ingredients to creating a contender. Theo Epstein proved that when he was the General Manager when the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. Now, there's a new young one in Major League Baseball. He comes from a different background than most, but definitely knows the sport. His name is Joshua Farley; a thirty-two year old Amherst College alumni, majoring in Sports Management/Administration and Business Accounting. He played a bit of baseball in college and fell in love with the game. Since he's receiving a ton of attention on the national circuit, he decided to sit down with ESPN in an exclusive, one-on-one interview with Keith Law.

Keith Law: Good evening folks, as always, I'm Keith Law and I have an extra special guest with me this evening. He's the General Manager of the Royals, and already he's made some good moves, some questionable ones, but albeit good deals. Welcome Mr. Farley.

Joshua Farley: Sup Keith, and no need for the formal introduction. I'm not that much of a formal guy anyway. It's a pleasure to be here though. Now, what do you want to know about me? I'm a large font, open book. Easy to read.

Keith Law: Nice metaphor. Now, tell us about your upbringing. Did you have a normal childhood? Were you a geek? Or an athletic jock?

Joshua Farley: I was that guy who usually sat in the front of the classroom, but usually in a corner or something. I had all the answers for any question a teacher would ask, but I was very condescending, so I didn't make any friends. I didn't play baseball in High School, or even know it was a sport. I lived a extremely sheltered life far off in the rural country side where we did not play sports. Instead, we focused on our studies.

Keith Law: It sounds like your childhood wasn't normal. Do you regret that?

Joshua Farley: In a way, yes. I do wish I could go back and play baseball in High School. I was okay in college. I came -this- close to entering the draft, but I pulled out because I wanted to get married. Unfortunately, the girl I loved decided to call off the wedding after telling me she cheated on me with my best friend...

Keith Law: Ouch. I'd hate to be her right now. You're probably making close to a million bucks and you're in the national spotlight. Her loss. Speaking of which, how are you holding up? Dealing with the media must be hard.

Joshua Farley: Dealing with you guys? That's the easy part of my job. I call over to PR, tell them what I want to say, and they tell me how to say it. Works real well and keeps me out of trouble. I'm holding up pretty well.

Keith Law: Early on you expressed in interest in acquiring Josh Hamilton. Do you still have that very same interest?

Joshua Farley: Yeah.

Keith Law: Yeah is a pretty vague answer. If you had to make a deal for Hamilton now, would you do it? Who would you offer?

Joshua Farley: I would try to do it, yeah. Uhh, as for exactly who I would try and trade... Zack Greinke, Gil Meche and Luke Hochevar. I'd tack on two-thirds of Meche's salary, too.

Keith Law: That's a pretty loaded trade offer. Two front-end starters, a junk of change, and your top prospect? I don't think anybody would offer nearly as much. You'd be getting ripped off, in my personal and humble opinion.

Joshua Farley: Jeez... I would have Hamilton under my control for six years. Six years. He's an elite hitting prospect with plus-plus power. He can swing the bat well and gets around okay in the field... yeah, I'm not getting ripped off. He's on pace to generate 213.1 runs. That's 13.32/27. MVP-caliber numbers.

Keith Law: Yeah but...

Joshua Farley: No buts. Hamilton would be an excellent addition to my team, despite the loss of Meche, Greinke and Hochevar. You know that, I know that. And more importantly, the fans know that.

Keith Law: Fine... we'll continue this interview at a later time; we have to take a short commercial break.

Alright, it's 10:08 where I live. I have to wake up at four o'clock tomorrow to study for a few tests I have to make up (absent with the flu), so I don't think I'll get around to doing any updates tomorrow. If I do, it will be the continuation of the interview and maybe the game results.

Can you please stop doing that thing with the stars? It pushes all the text over and you have to constantly scroll left and right to read things.
