Zambrano is pleased by Derek Lee's performance, but would like some more decent relievers to keep trying to earn him wins.

Yeah, that's been a problem for the real-life Cubs, too. Hopefully, O'Flaherety will help.

Unfortunately, my dad is watching TV, :roll: so until he falls asleep I won't have any updates.

Reds Series Finale
Lilly vs Arroyo
The Cubs swept the short 2-game series against the reds last night. Cubs offense was led by Ramirez and Fukudome, each hitting a home run to supply runs. Ted Lilly, on the other hand, struggled to keep the cushy lead the team gave him. He lasted 6 innings. Michael Wuertz newcomer Eric O'Flaherety held the Reds in the seventh and eighth. Lou Piniella, not wanting to take another chance with Wood, sent in Bob Howry to hold a one-run lead for a save. O'Flaherety was awarded a win in his first cubs appearence.

The Cubs are heading back to Chicago, but not to Wrigley Field. It's time for game 1 against the Sox.

OK, I've came up with a few trades over the past couple days at school. Any ideas of what I should go for?

Soriano = Bay
Marquis = Lincecum
Lilly = Hamels

Feel free to suggest your own.

They are all great trades, but Fonzie loves Chicago and doesn't want to leave :D

Cubs @ Sox Game 1
Dempster vs Contreras
U.S. Cellular field was full of cheering cubs fans as Mark DeRosa hit a home run in the 3rd inning for a one-run lead. In the bottom of the inning, it was the Sox fans' turn to cheer as Nick Swisher hit a tying solo shot. Aramis Ramirez followed up with his 3rd home run of the season in the third inning to make the score 2-1. Fukudome hit yet another solo shot in the top of the fourth to pad the lead, and Reed Johnson got an RBI in the same inning. A Soriano bomb in the 5th made it 5-1. Dempster left after 5 innings, and the Cubs cruised to a 7 - 4 victory as Kerry Wood redeemed himself with a save.

see if you can swap him for Chris Snyder (Diamondbacks) or Matt Treanor (Marlins).

Sox Game 2
Hill vs Floyd
Both pitchers had shutouts going until Kosuke Fukudome's solo shot in the 5th broke the tie. In the sixth, Alfonso Soriano launched a 2-run blast to make it 3-0 Cubs, and Floyd was taken out. Jermaine Dye hit a solo homer off Hill in the seventh, but it wasn't enough. Hill went 7 innings giving up 1 earned run with 10 strikeouts. Kerry Wood recorded his second save of the year.

Sox Avoid Sweep
Marquis vs Danks
The White Sox quickly scored against Jason Marquis in the first inning, but the Cubs came back with an Aramis Ramirez Solo shot in the 2nd. Only for the Sox to score again in the 3rd. Alfonso Soriano tied it again with another solo homer in the 4th, but the Sox came back in the 5th with 2 runs. Marquis was taken out at the end of the inning. The bullpen only gave up 2 runs for the rest of the game, but the Cubs offense failed to produce.

Cubs Sign Randy Wells
The Chicago Cubs signed Randy Wells to a 6-year, $390k contract yesterday. Wells will be in the minors as an emergency starter.

(I think it's 6 years. It says F/A 6)

No, F/A 6 means he won't be able to willingly file for F/A in six years, which I don't get really.

He's probably not eligible to file for free agency in six years. . . it's explained in the MLB Life Mode.

Yeah, I understand it in Life mode, but there's no point to it in season mode, because players' can still file for free agency no matter what.
