But the Mets have a good offense also. The only thing that really saves SPs would be a good offense because they can score runs and get the lead back. I'm not saying relievers are totally useless, but they can only do so much.

But you need at least decent relivers to get by. The best teams in baseball are the ones who take pitches, wear down the starters, and get to the underbelly of teams, the bullpen.

This is a good strategy! This is also the best method to take down sittch in the final game of success mode.

In this game, its starting pitching, with good stuff (4+ breaking balls & special abilities) There quite a disparity between the in-game value of an expensive starting pitcher vs. the value of an expensive hitter.

I've noticed this because they are easy to make - you take basically any pitcher, max out their breaking pitches, train them in groundball and safepitch techniques.
