Well, I can't really say that I didn't sim at all unfortunately. :( There was one game back in June against the Pirates that in the middle of the game when I was at the pause screen, I accidentally clicked the "fast forward" thing and barely simmed some of that game. Oh well.

Nothing wrong with that, heck I simulate some of my games that I do game logs for and I don't even do 30 games logs a year

What the heck. I wonder if this is a glitch. I just noticed that the Red Sox finished eighteen and a half games back. I checked back on the schedule, and the second game against the A's to start the season that was in Japan was never played.

September in Review
The 2008 Major League Baseball regular season has officially come to a close. It has been an exciting month of triumph and failure as teams made their shot at the postseason. The Rays finished the month with a record of 12-14, their second worst month record of the season only to July in which they went 11-14. The Rays have, however won the American League Wild Card with their record of 97-65, eight games back of the major league best New York Yankees for first in the division. Records have been broken, and accomplishments have been made, and it has been a great season.

Tampa Bay Rays: Season in Review
The Rays have made the ultimate worst to first comeback in recent history. Not only did they finish with their first winning record and first time ending the season higher than fourth place in the AL East standings, but they finished with the second best record in the majors only to the New York Yankees who are in the same division, and the Rays are headed to the postseason for the first time in their ten year franchise history. This team has been led by dominant pitching from pitchers like James Shields and Andy Sonnanstine, and big bats from Carlos Pena, B.J. Upton, and Evan Longoria, the American League best candidate for Rookie of the Year. It's been a great season, but it's not over yet as the Rays still have to take on October.

10/5 - ALDS: Rays @ Athletics: Game 1
James Shields vs. Oliver Perez

OAKLAND -- The Rays have won game one of their American League Division Series against the Athletics with a comeback win. The first two runs of the game were solo homers off the bat of Jack Cust; one in the fifth breaking up James Shields' perfect game, and another in the seventh to go up by two, but the Rays fought back with a huge five-run eighth inning. Carl Crawford knocked in the first run with an RBI double. Dioner Navarro then got an RBI single to tie it up, Rocco Baldelli came up with an RBI single to take the lead, and Akinori Iwamura capped it off with a huge two-run single. The Athletics made one last attempt in the ninth when Eric Chavez belted a lead-off homer, but Troy Percival came on and closed them out.

you should make easy work of the A's but the Yankees will be very tough (if you make it and the yankees make it)

10/8 - ALDS: Rays @ Athletics: Game 3
Derek Lowe vs. Esteban Loaiza

OAKLAND -- The Rays have swept the Oakland Athletics three straight games for a Division Series victory! The Rays got on the board early in this one, B.J. Upton with a first inning two-run blast. Cliff Floyd added to that in the second with a solo homer to go up by three. The Athletics scored their first run in the second on a fielding error. Rocco Baldelli dropped a fly ball that would have been the third out of the inning, but instead allowed Jack Cust to score from third. Jack Cust then caused damage himself in the fourth with a two-run homer to tie the game at three. The difference maker was in the sixth inning when Carlos Pena and Evan Longoria hit back-to-back solo shots to lead-off the inning, which would be all they need to win this game, the series, and a spot in the League Championship Series.

Ugh. I know. The pitching is thing I'm most worried about. With the A's, the only power hitter they had was Cust (and you saw what he did), and everyone else just hit grounders or fly balls. The whole Yankees lineup is power hitters.

what does their lineup look like? its impossible for me because I edited the players and rosters so the yankees looked like:

C- Posada
1B- Teixiera
2B- Cano
SS- Jeter
3B- A-rod
OF- Damon(B power)
OF- Cabrera
OF- Swisher
DH- Matsui

the only non threat there is melky and he can still get hits

10/10 - League Championship Series Set
The Rays made a clean sweep of the A's in Oakland to win the division series, but the next step is the LCS. The Rays will be facing the Yankees, who have been a huge rival throughout the season, and a challenging team to face and to beat. In the National League, the Cincinnati Reds will be taking on their own division rival, the Milwaukee Brewers. This will be a great series on both sides and it will be exciting to see who wins the pennant and goes on to the World Series.

Upton came up clutch with a one-out two-run homer to right-center to give the Rays the lead for the first time in the game. Evan Longoria also homered in that inning to go up by two as the Rays defeat the Yankees in game on of the ALCS.

Oh man... That win was so epic. When Upton hit that home run, I couldn't believe it. Smoltz gave me one high and away and Upton pushed it opposite field and out. I was literally talking to me T.V. like "GO! GET OUT! GET OUT!" and pumping my fist. :D
