Have Dickey keep getting his knuckler up. A whole spring training worth of working on his KN should get it up a full level.

So, who's your CF now? Ibanez is still in LF, right?

Ibanez is still in left, CF is in competition. Heck, everything's competition right now.

Seattle Mariners @ Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Spring Training

Mariners lose in Angels slugging fest.

Mariners: 4
Angels: 8

Win: Moseley
Save: F. Rodriguez
Loss: Loewen
HR: G. Anderson
Hunter
Kotchman
Willingham

Today was not the day for the Mariners, Adam Loewen, who is fighting for the fifth spot in the rotation was given the loss, but the whole team was to blame today, mainly the pitching staff, but there was a very low offensive outburst for a team with such great power hitters, Adam Loewen started the game, and pitched two solid innings, just giving up a 320 foot homerun, which "wouldn't even be out in coors field" according to the man himself, the Angels really only scored on home runs, which there were plenty of, Josh Johnson came in after Loewen, and gave up a solo blast after two strong innings, we reached manager Joe Ullan who says that no ones spot in the rotation was jeopardized and no one went down in consideration, stating that "the Angels were just better than us today, also the stadium sucked."

Adam Loewen (2 IP, 1 ER)
J. Johnson (2 IP, 2 ER) (accidentally kept him in the next inning and gave up a hit)
Robbins (1 IP, 3 ER)
Lorraine (1 IP, 2ER)
A. Miller (2 IP, 0 ER)
Dempster (1 IP, 0 ER)

J. Weaver (3 IP, 0 ER)
Moseley (3 IP, 4 ER)
F. Rodriguez (3 IP, 0 ER)

I felt that a 14 arm is a waste in CF, he's already converted.

he learned catcher in the offseason (has an A rocket arm!)

Jeff Clement hopes you can still find a spot for him despite Ichiro becoming the starting backstop.

Heck, at least Jeff isn't in AAA, because that's what I was considering before converting Ronny Paulino, he'll be serviceable as a backup catcher, Ichiro is getting old too.

Or you could convert Clement to 1B.

That's true - he is a 1B now in real-life, if you want to create some competition at first between him and Barton.

Sorry I pushed you to get Barton instead, I figured it wouldn't be as realistic for a sorta-rebuilding Mariners to go after a 30 year-old Pena, even though he is obviously still quite good.

Seattle Mariners @ San Diego Padres
Spring Training

Mariners win with great outing by Andrew Miller

Mariners: 8
Padres: 2

Win: A. Miller
Save: X
Loss: Wolf
O. Hudson
Guerrero
Guerrero
Raymundo

The Seattle Mariners capped off an excellent offensive performance with an excellent pitching performance, quite the opposite of their previous game vs. the Angels. Each pitcher went just one inning, as manager Joe Ullan was testing as many pitchers as he could, except for a Mr. Andrew Miller, who tossed four excellent innings, allowing no hits, striking out six, and walking none. An excellent performance, from a man who is now the #1 choice to become the fifth starter, however there is still time. There is one person who definitely will be a starter, Vladimir Guerrero. He smoked two homeruns today, even going back-to-back with rookie Raymundo in a great outing. It wasn't all fun however, as while attempting to catch a fly ball, CF Ryan Sweeney hit his head and was injured, he couldn't return to the game, however will be ready for the season as he is just on the fifteen day DL.

Aaron Cook (1 IP, 0 ER)
M. Lowe (1 IP, 1 ER)
Dickey (1 IP, 0 ER, 3 SO)
H. Bailey (1 IP, 0 ER)
Fuentes (1 IP, 1 ER)
A. Miller (4 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 6 SO)

Wolf (3 IP, 2 ER)
Ledezma (2 IP, 4 ER)
Hampson (1 & 2/3 IP, 2 ER)
Meredith (1 & 1/3 IP, 0 ER)

That's a good idea, I don't know if he'll be ready by the time the season starts, but I'll get him started on that.

Pena's a beast, but he's getting paid a ridiculous amount, I prefer Barton.

Dickey - KN ^
R. Sweeney - Learn Catcher (acquired)

So versatile, I like it! He's also learned first base this year.

Yeah, it's an idea for the offseason at least.

I'm liking the youth of the starting rotation - seems like Andrew Miller has been a good pickup thus far.

What really bugs me, is that all the players fatigue is maxed out, like seriously how? We just stopped playing baseball for five months! And when I say players, I mean like, the lineup, the rotation, the bullpen, everyone is tired!
