Sign Aaron Cook, Brian Fuentes, and Vladimir Guerrero. Also, Brad Wilkerson and Jose Vidro are disappointed on being released, especially with Wilkerson hitting .282 with 27 HR.

Wilkerson wanted 12 million dollars, I offered him a contract for five million but he didn't accept it so I just gave him no contract.

I kind of want to see a younger player start in right so I might hold off on the vlad signing.

Get Ben Broussard and convert him to Right Field. He doesn't cost much, and is easy to develop.

Mariners swap Putz for cash.
January 22nd, 2009.

The Seattle Mariners have traded away allstar closer J.J. Putz to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for six million dollars, Putz reportedly became available when Ryan Dempster was signed by the team, Putz lead the MLB with 33 saves last season while Ryan Dempster was third with 30, Dempster won the relief pitcher of the year award and hopes his success in the National League can transfer over to the American League.

Alright agents, what do you want your players working on in spring training? I have some ideas but I want to hear your input first.

You can choose for Felix, I think RAAAUUULLL should work on contact.

I have Felix working on the splitter, and Raul learning centre field, but that's cool, Raul for contact.

I have three guys working on SS including Ronny Paulino, definitely going to be some competition there, and for the #5 rotation spot.

You can have him learn CF, if you want. But it seems pointless, Ichiro plays CF, right?

I'd say go ahead with what you want on Clement. Bailey I think should learn a new pitch and switch over to top speed.

Ichiro is currently learning how to be a catcher.

No I'm serious, what a waste of a 14 arm in CF, that's why I have Paulino in SS.

And Jeff Clement? Still working on his fielding.

Clements fielding.

Bailey got his top spd up to a 94, and is working on a palmball.

Guerrero - Learn 3B (acquired)
Dempster - Learn SCB (failed)
Beltre - Learn LF (acquired)
Fuentes - Learn CUT ( acquired)
Cook - Learn SPLT (acquired)
Ichiro - Learn C (acquired) ( )
O. Hudson - Learn 3B (acquired)
R. Paulino - Learn SS (acquired)
Loewen - Learn FORK (acquired)
Corcoran - Learn SCB (failed)
J. Lopez - Learn SS (acquired)
Rowland-Smith - Learn FORK (acquired)
Duke - Learn FORK (acquired)
J. Johnson - Learn FORK (failed)
Olsen - learn FORK (failed)
R. Sweeney - Learn 1B (acquired)
Eveland - learn SCB (failed)
O'Flaherty - Learn V-SLD (acquired)
M. Lowe - Learn SCB (acquired)
A. Miller - Learn SPLT (failed)
Morrow- Learn SC (failed)
H. Bailey - learn PALM (acquired)
Raymundo - learn SS (acquired)
Lorraine - learn SPLT (failed)

Wow, the success rate of learning a SCB and a SPLT is astonishingly low, only Mark Lowe learned a screwball!

Anyone who failed a converting or learning of a new breaking ball will attempt it again, the people who learned new breaking balls will be working on them.
