Rev Davis Shot: Condition Stable
March 31st, 2035
Matthew Anderson

Yesterday, the whole baseball world was shocked when news broke out that baseball great Rev Davis was shot by an unknown shooter. 20 minutes before the game, Rev Davis came out to the mound to make a speech to introduce both teams into the MLB, where they would play their first game in franchise history. After a two to three minute speech, a large boom was heard throughout the Las Vegas area. When spectators looked around, they saw that Rev was lying on the pitchers mound, flooded with blood.

Rev was immediately rushed to the Las Vegas Hospital where he was treated. After three hours, the surgeons removed the bullet and were able to stop the building. The bullet was said to be a couple of inches from the heart, allowing Rev to survive the attempt. He is going to undergo a rehabilitation, the ammount of time in question.

Thousands of people joined outside the hospital to await the fate of Rev Davis. That list included fans, staff, and even the whole team. Rev's wife, Emma Davis, was flown in from California. When Rev's condition was told to the players, all the fans cheered. They were then told to leave by security.

Tomorrow's games will be played as a Day/Night double header, as told by Rev Davis. The day game will start at 1 P.M. and the night game will start at 7 P.M.

I'm glad they could stop the building in time.

They must be pretty good at multitasking, they were able to perform surgery at the same time they were protesting (successfully) against a new building somewhere.

Right now I'm going to be working on the Whales. I decided I have to make them a better team. I'll have the next update by Wed.

Eagles and Whales Split Two Game Series
Jeff Kawakami

The day after baseball great and owner, Rev Davis, was almost assassinated featured the debuts of the young and talented stars on the Las Vegas Eagles and the Hawaii Whales.

Boo Gonzalez and Sy started the first half of a day/night double header, and an entertaining game it was. To start off the game in the top of the first, lead off batter Willis hit a triple into the right center field gap. Things didn't look good early for Gonzalez, until he bounced back and struck out the side against three talented hitters, including Francis a five tool first baseman with an unusual hair color of red.

The bottom of the third was when the Eagles got to Sy. Willie the Kid started the rally of with a single. The next batter, Hiro Nakamura hit a booming triple to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. The next batter KiD CuDi, who was critizied after become a baseball player, hit a bloop single to score Nakamura and give the Eagles a 2-0 lead.

This lead didn't last very long however. In the top of the inning the Whales got two consecutive clutch two out RBI singles to tie the game up.

After finishing the 6th inning, Boo was replaced by fireballer Robin who could reach speeds of 105. He made short work of the Whales and made them look silly too.

In the bottom of the 7th inning, after a Freeman single and a West sacrifice, David So came through with a clutch RBI double to give the Eagles the lead.

Robin would shut it down in the 8th then the Kenny Powers came in and dominated the ninth 1-2-3.

"YOU'RE ******* OUT!" screamed Powers after recording the last out.

The Eagles didn't have a long time to rest because the next game they would have to go up against J. Santos, an excellent pitcher with a ferocious knuckleball and a bat splitting cutter. The Eagles had Perez going up for them, a great pitcher with middle of the pack stuff.

In the game the Eagles missed several scoring chances early. In the bottom of the second Troy So and Dan Martia hit consecutive singles, but after a failed bunt So was caught stealing 3rd. Freeman would walk , but he nor Martia would get home.

In the next inning, Willie the Kid got a single and stole second, but Nakamura, CuDi, or Gainer could get him home.

In the top of the fifth, the Whales got their first lead of the season when Parkman hit a hanging curveball deep into the right field bullpen, giving the Whales a 1-0 lead.

The Whales lead didn't last long, as in the next inning Nakamura hit a 2 run single to score Willie the Kid and Kaneye West. CuDi would follow up with a single, but the inning would end on a Gainer double play.

In the top of the 7th, Gainer was hurt on while diving for a ball. He was okay, but he was replaced by Smith just to be on the safe side.

In that inning, Nakamura gunned down his second runner of the game. This was a bad thing for the Whales because the next batter, Lopez hit a towering home run to center field, tying the game.

After the 7th, Sanders came in a pitched a great 8th, but collapsed in the 9th. Sanders gave up four runs before Pablo Sanchez came in and shut the door. Going into the bottom of the 9th, the Whales had a four run lead, and it would stay that way giving them a victory in the nightcap.

Gainer felt he could do better than 1-7.

Robin was excited about landing a win and shutting the Whales down.

After the Game...

Dusty: In honor of our first victory as professional ballplayers, I suggest we celebrate.

Raymond: YEAH LET'S GET HAMMERED!!!

Dan: Shut up Raymond, you're underage.

Raymond: You think I care? YOLO.

All: :picard:

Lupe: Some of us could go, but I think we should go somewhere we could all go. We can't go anywhere to far because we travel to Cleveland tomorrow.

KiD CuDi's home town.

KiD CuDi: Man, I can't wait to go back home. I know some places around there.

Freeman: But we want to go somewhere tonight.

*ring ring ring*

Dusty: Who's is that?

Dan: It's mine *bing* Hello? Okay Rev.

Rev: Hey guys!

All: Hey Rev.

Rev: So hey what do you guys say we come down to Jerry's Pasta & Pizza. I reserved the restaurant. I want to talk with you guys.

Dan: Alright we'll meet you there.

1 Hour Later...

Rev: Hey you guys made it. You're lucky I reserved the restaurant. This place is usually swarming with fans after the games. Come on.

They followed Rev to their booth and order their drinks.

Julio: So what did you want to talk about Rev.

Rev: I'm glad you asked. I wanted to talk about Sittch, Goldman, and my assassination attempt. I'll first start off with Sittch.

Kenny: So what's going on with flame hair over there?

Rev: Currently he is still hopping around teams, but still with Marvin. Right now we are trying to find a way to get the collar off so he can be free. If we're lucky this could be enough to get Goldman behind bars. If we're really lucky, we could get him on the team. Marvin has taken pictures of the collar, but hasn't put them on the internet or else Goldman would become suspicious and kill them both. Marvin sent the pictures to some of the worlds top scientists trying to find a solution, but still no dice.

Willie: Can't we just go kidnap Sittch and tell the public?

Rev: No that would be far too risky. Goldman would have some of the world's top lawyers. And if they win Sittch would be gone.

D. So: So right now we can just wait?

Rev: I'm afraid so. The next thing I wanted to talk about is Goldman. Currently he is trying to rebuild the machine that made Sy. We are trying to find a way to stop the construction of it. We're going to try to get Marvin in the factory to stop it.

Gainer: So what do we know about your assassination?

Rev: We found out that this was, too, part of Goldman's plan. He wanted me out of the picture so he could take over the Eagles. The shooter was a top sniper for the U.S. Marines, brainwashed by Goldman. It is unknown how he escaped.

Dusty: This is some deep stuff.

Rev: At least that's it for now.

Waitress: Are we ready to order?

Rev: Yeah.

They ordered and ate, then flew to Cleveland where they would look to reclaim a lead in the AL West.

(Oh by the way I moved the Rangers to the Central)

I might consider dropping Raymond if he uses more words like that one. :P

Eagles Survive Shaky Start, Bullpen Delivers
Franky Martinez
April 5th, 2008

Yesterday, the Eagles got their first legitimate introduction into the MLB. Those two games versus the Whales, were low scoring rough and tough games. THIS game was equivalent to a rookie hazing at the start of a season.

This game already had the makings of being different when slugger Troy So was scrattched in order to give Raymond Smith his first start. Also, instead of Hiro Nakamura throwing down the signs it was going to be Patrick Gainer. Nakamura would bat in the DH spot.

Before the game when Cleveland born rapper KiD CuDi was introduced, the crowed cheered and he gave them a standing ovation. The Cleveland fans would soon regret this in the later innings.

In the top of the first, Jake Westbrook would get a kind introduction when Nakamura started off the game with a single and a stolen base. CuDi would get an infield single in the 6 hole, Nakamura advancing. CuDi would also swipe a bag, setting the table for Gainer who unfortunately popped out. Next batter Raymond Smith would get an RBI Fielder's Choice when second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera, instead of getting the sure out, threw home and got nobody out. Dan Martia would be up next. On an 0-0 count, Westbrook threw a wild pitch allowing CuDi to score and Raymond to advance to second. The next pitch was right down the middle, but Martia would ground out. The next batter was shortstop Gordon Freeman, who came up with a two out RBI single to extend their lead to three.

Going for the Eagles was Ando Masahashi, who would receive a Cleveland welcome. Grady Sizemore would single and Asdrubal Cabrera would double setting up for a second and third situation and no outs for big slugger Travis Hafner. Hafner would hit a weak dribbler to the side of Masahashi. Sizemore got a little fiesty and decided to test him, a dumb idea. Masahashi would throw home, but Sizemore would collide with Gainer, knocking the ball out of his glove and scoring. After a wild pitch, letting Hafner and Cabrera advance, Victor Martinez hit a two run RBI single tying the game up.

The next inning, the Eagles looked to retake their lead. Willie the Kid laid down a beautiful one out bunt single right on the line. He would then steal a base, setting the table for Nakamura. After a wild pitch, Nakamura would hit a sac fly to Sizemore who would not get the speedy Willie.

This lead didn't last for long when Sizemore would blast a leadoff homer. After a Cabrera single, Hafner would belt one of his one of his own giving the Indians a 6-4 lead. For Masahashi, the game was a nightmare. He had already blown two leads in two innings. What more could a pitcher ask for?

The Eagles would get back into the game in the top of the fifth, when after another Willie single and stolen base, KiD CuDi would blast a homer to tie the game up at six. The Cleveland fans didn't give the warm welcome as they did during the introductions.

In the top of the inning, long reliever Lewis Lopez took over and his first batter didn't give him a reason to stay in. He would be facing Victor Martinez, and he got the best of him when he allowed a 432 foot bomb to give the Indians another lead. After giving up the homer, he settled down getting the next three batters.

This see saw game took a stand still in the top of the sixth when David So hit a two out RBI single that tied the game up.

In the top of the 8th, the Eagles would get a lead and never look back when Dan Martia lined a homer over the center field fence, barely getting out giving the Eagles a 8-7 lead. In the 8th, Robin would shut it down and in the ninth, after getting an insurance run on a knock from Nakamura, Powers would shut it down securing another Eagles victory.
