Atlanta -- Nats shut out Braves as Garza gets win. The Nationals blasted and shutout the Braves tonight as Matt Garza jumped to 3-0. Garza pitched 8 and a third, allowing 0 runs on 8 hits, while sitting down 9 on strikes. Anthony Lerew pitched 4 innings for the Braves, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. Willy Mo Pena went 1-4 with 2 RBI. Carl Crawford went 3-5 with a double, himself. Brian McCann went 1-4 with the Braves only extra base hit, a double.

Milwaukee -- Lannan throws 2-hit shutout in 2009 debut. With the help from Brandon Moss's home run, John Lannan threw a 2-hit shutout. Lannan struck out 16, in this gem. Chris Capuano went 8 innings allowing 2 runs, on 8 hits, striking out 5. Brandon Moss had a solid game for the Nats going 1-4 with a home run and an RBI. Corey Hart and Chris Capuano got the two hits for the Brewers.
