As long as the CPU gives me a challenge, like last game, I'm alright with it.

But I mean for the people who are reading it, I hope they don't get bored. I suppose if I had to I could up the CPU difficulty.

See, that doesn't happen to me with the Stingers, because I can't seem to win a stinking game during the sim, so I win every time I play (save for the Yankees game).

***Games 2 and 3 of this series got overwritten on 3/14/13.. I had edited this post with Games 2 and 3 to copy-paste the box score formula I use for my summaries and use one for a summary of my latest game.. only to save the post with the new game. (79-35) Eagles vs Red Sox (41-73): Series Preview (8/10-8/12)

Boston's 38 games out of the division lead and they'll face us for our 4th straight home series.

Their pitching classifies as below average, statistically. They average a touch over 5 runs per game, at a total of 571 runs plus 1105 hits allowed. They give up the most homers in the division at 139, and are 4th in strikeouts at 885. Lastly, Red Sox pitching has combined for 409 walks. On the other hand, their offense is actually not too bad. Collectively, the Sox hit .272 with 497 runs driven in as well as 1071 base hits and 83 homers - the last of which only 1 shy of being worst in the division. While they aren't power hitters, Boston steals the most bases in the AL East (115).

Big acquisition Johnny Cueto (96/B/A) is one of the main changes to the BoSox' roster. He's currently at a 4.61 ERA with a 6-10 record, which probably doesn't help the team ERA since he's pretty much their ace. Besides Daniel Bard (3-3, 3.04 ERA), Jacoby Ellsbury (.307, 10 HR, 55 RBI), Salty (.304, 12 HR, 59 RBI), and Clay Buchholz (3-6, 7.20 ERA, down in AAA), there's not much left from their 2012 team. No longer are the days of Big Papi, Lester, and the 2007 stars. Other noteworthy guys include Freddy Sanchez (.273, 2 HR, 48 RBI), Mark Melancon (2-2, 7.47 ERA), and Garrett Jones (.281, 2 HR, 9 RBI).

Fenway isn't as scary as it used to be, I guess. The Red Sox have gone 16-38 in 54 games at home. When on the road, they're 25-35 and in general they're 18-41 against Eastern opponents, AL or NL. Their total record vs. the American League is 37-59.

Boston's only won 2 of their last 10. We've beat them in 2 out of just 3 games aka one series so I'm guessing we're gonna be seeing them a lot in the last two months. They'll be playing spoiler so we can't expect to just roll over them.

We'll send Clayton Kershaw out there for Game 1 to face Daniel Bard (100/D/C). The second game will be Sean Haynes spot-starting a third time vs fellow spot-starter and 19-year old rookie Capurro (89/D/C, 1-5, 5.03 ERA). For the finale, Cliff Lee will be opposed by Clayton Mortensen (93/D/C, 3-4, 4.52 ERA).
