Are you saying it's wrong to talk to a bag of Skittles? Because if so, I'm going to need to rethink a lot of things. :P

You're already at 21 games? Crazy! I like the log so far though.

St.Louis Cardinals(12-8) @ Milwaukee Brewers(9-10)
April 21st, 2008-Prince Fielder powered the Brew Crew to a win over our Cardinals today. Starting for the Cardinals was Braden Looper, who gave up a single to Braun in the bottom of the first, just squeaking by Izturis's glove at short. Fielder was up next and jacked a 2 run homer to dead center, giving The Crew an early 2-0 lead. The Cards got on the board in the 4th, with a Troy Glaus RBI single, making it 2-1, Brewers. Mike Cameron answered in the bottom half though, with a solo homer down the left field line. In the 5th, Aaron Miles tied it with a 2 RBI double to left center, making it 3-3. Pujols put his team on top the next inning, with a solo homer, his 6th of the year, and making it 4-3. But, Fielder was due up again in the bottom of the 6th, and Braun singled before him, and just like last time, Fielder jacked a sinking fastball from Looper to left center for another home run. Brian Shouse and Eric Gagne were solid for the Brewers after that, not giving up a run to the Cardinals, giving them their 4th loss in a row. We asked Looper about it after the game; " Well, we fought back and got the lead, and we should've kept it, but Fielder is such a good batter. He took that pitch deep into the stands, and our offense didn't have anything left in them to take the lead back. Gotta give credit to Braun and Fielder though, they really worked together and put runs up for their team. We'll get them next time though."

Alright, 2 more game updates and 2 more sim updates that I have done, but I'm not going to post them until tomorrow. I'm done for the night. Hopefully I can find the motivation to play 5 games every night. But, it was a good first night. :)

Also, I want to add that I don't want to go overboard on trades and free agency, maybe 1 or 2 each year. Any suggestions are welcome.

And I think a trade for the legendary Zach Duke may be in order. But seriously, I think I may try to get him. :)

Btw, someone needs to re-edit the Zach Duke wiki page. It's gone.

lol Astros winning.

I got an offer for Zach duke from the padres for Khalil Greene, and I considered accepting it because it would send him to his fathers (mothers?) team.

This is not only treason, but blasphemy as well.

I approve of it. I honestly don't remember there ever being a Cards log on here before. Any of the players edited?

Heh, that's actually one of the reasons I picked them; I was pretty sure they hadn't been done before. :) and nope, nobody's edited, just the default roster. And I figured you'd like this. :) ;)

In that case, I'll take Molina.

So the CPU is batting on powerful AND has lock-on 1? You must be much better at pitching than I!!!

With the CPU pitching on powerful, doesn't it bounce the ball around the zone? I think that would make me go cross-eyed!

Yep! This is my first time ever trying a season with these settings, I've done Powerful before, but I've never had any Lock-on for the CPU. Also I've fooled around with it, but never tried no lock on for me either.

And yes, on Powerful the ball moves around the strike zone. That doesn't bother me as much as no-lock on though. I figure it's just an adjustment period though, I'll get used to it eventually. And these settings are great, they're making for a lot of close games, and keeping us around .500. :) Which is basically what I was aiming for year 1. *SPOILER ALERT* BUT, there is one blowout, against the Reds.

Cincinnati Reds(10-17) @ St.Louis Cardinals(14-13)
April 28th, 2008-The Cardinals struggled this afternoon, against the NL Central bottom feeder, the Reds. Adam Kennedy knocked in the first run of the game in the 2nd, with an RBI double deep to center. Lohse really got into trouble for the Cards in the 4th, when he gave up an RBI double to Edwin Encarnacion, and then an RBI single to David Ross without registering an out. After getting two outs then, David Freel knocked in 2 with a single, making it 5-0, Reds on top. In the 6th Freel repeated, slapping in another run with a single. In the bottom of the 7th, the Cardinals finally put a run on the board. With two outs, Encarnacion singled, and was followed by a Molina single, which allowed Encarnacion to scamper to 3rd base. Cesar Izturis then singled on a soft fly to right, scoring Juan Encarnacion, and making it 1-6. In the 9th the Reds tacked on 5 more, on a 3 run homer by Griffey Jr. and a 2 run homer by Edwin Encarnacion. Give credit to Reds' starting pitcher, Bronson Arroyo, who pitched a complete game and only allowed one run. He was stellar for the Reds today. The Cardinals will have to start taking advantage of series's they play against weaker teams if they wish to keep pace with the Astros and Pirates.
