Pittsburgh Pirates @ Florida Marlins (2-2)
April 5, 2008

Florida- The Marlins have won in another slugfest at Dolphin Stadium. This time, not just their offense powered them to a win- but their defense as well. After pitcher Chuck James put them in a 5-0 hole in the 3rd, the Marlins came. back in the bottom of the inning with 3 runs off home runs by Hanley Ramirez and Jeremy Hermida. The Pirates retook the lead 6-5, but Josh Willingham made an amazing catch throwing his body against the wall. He was later injured after doing this twice more. The Marlins scored 4 runs off Matt Capps to take a 9-5 lead, and after the Pirates got 2 more runs, the Marlins came back with 6 on two Pirates errors and a Dan Johnson home run. The Pirates almost came back with 5 runs in the 9th off Kevin Gregg, but he held on.

Final Score- Marlins-15 Pirates-13

That color is impossible to see. I like your choice as that is very close to the actual color, but it's unbearably hard on the eyes.

Isn't Cantu a 2b? Are you playing him out of position?

Nice log so far

Are you saying it's wrong to talk to a bag of Skittles? Because if so, I'm going to need to rethink a lot of things. :P

I updated CPU fielding to powerful to cut down on the slugfests.

How does fielding on Powerful cut down on slugfests??? I would turn pitching to Powerful.

It is on powerful. Most of my runs have come on terrible fielding mistakes by both teams. Powerful fielding has a huge effect on how many runs are scored in a game.

Florida Marlins(5-2) @ Washington Nationals
April 9, 2008

Washington- The Marlins were edged in a heartbreaking 8-7 loss yesterday. The Marlins took an early 4-0 lead on home runs by Dan Uggla and Josh Willingham. However, the Nationals stormed back for 4 runs to tie the game. Uggla hit his 2nd home run of the day in the fifth, but the Nationals came back with four runs to take an 8-5 lead. Home runs by Jeremy Hermida and Dan Uggla(his third) couldn't win it for the Marlins, as Josh Willingham and Mike Jacob's fly balls just died at the warning track to end the game.

Final Score: Nationals-8 Marlins-7

W- John Lannan (2-0)| L-Sergio Mitre (1-1)| SV- Chad Cordero (2)

HR: Dan Uggla 3 (5), Josh Willingham (2), Jeremy Hermida (4)

Mitre: 4 IP, 12 H, 7 ER, 2 SO
Uggla: 4-5, 2B, 3 HR, 4 R
Hermida: 2-4, 2B, HR

Lannan: 5 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 0 SO
Zimmerman: 3-5, 2B, RBI
Lo Duca: 4-5, 2 2B, 2 RBI
