All my family left, and I got some unexpected free time. That's why I am posting the lineup today.

Memphis Sports Online: Special Report!

February 5- Say hello to baseball, Memphis! The Memphis Massives will begin playing baseball in the MLB this year. They have already furnished a team, and are ready to go. They have been bringing up players through AAA the last 5 years, and no one has known. Finally, they were granted a go in the MLB, and boy are their players ready for it. Even though they hold the name Memphis, they will not be able to play in Memphis until a future date, because they have no stadium here. Instead, they will be playing across the Mississippi River in St. Louis, at the team's AAA field, Golden Apples Stadium. The field has very deep fences, so triples aren't too uncommon.
The team will be playing in the AL Central, a very unbalanced division. The Indians and Tigers are both very talented teams. The White Sox are also very capable. Then on the bottom the Twins and the Royals lack talent to gain 1st place. We will have to see where the Massives fit in.
The other expansion team is the Utah Powerfuls, playing at PETCO Park, with the San Diego Padres. Reports say they are no where near as skilled as the Massives. They will be playing in the AL West.
We will be covering certain games of the Massives, as a lot of companies are competing for media coverage. We will cover the game for the #1 pitcher, then wait a week, then cover the #2 pitcher's game, then wait a week, and so on. The first game we cover will be on April 2nd, a home game against the Twins. Let the excitement begin!
