Ah, okay. That makes me feel a little more comfortable.

I still think maybe working in Mia as some kind of rival of Miss Kate would be interesting.

Sorry I confused you guys a little. Dennis was already introduced a month ago in the Stranglers log. Ryan Techer is the mysterious man. I guess I could add Mia.

Player, Reporter guys (?) Update

They were in the press box, the game about to start, and they wouldn't rather be anywhere else. The announcers box right next to them, and the game was underway.
Harry Jones: Here we go!

Dennis O'Bell: Two outs Timmy Wakefield is looking good. Sort of like me.

Miss Kate giggled. She liked him and he knew it. However Dennis wanted to focus on work. Later who knows, but for now they were friends.
Announcers Box
Techer: Look at that ball into the gap, and... George Harrison comes out of nowhere with the amazing diving catch!
Next Inning
Press Box
Mia is Back

Mia: Hey guys I'm back. Power Pros sports is telling me to cover division races.

Miss Kate: Oh great. She's here.
Dennis: Katie! Let's all be nice here. There's enough Dennis to go around.

The girls both blushed. Harry laughed. He knew Dennis was playing them both like an indian sitar. God, Dennis reminded him of himself so much it was scary. He did have a long lost son...

Jack Swaggert: Holy ****! The Stranglers just jumped all over Morales with four runs!
It should be noted that Jack Swaggert swears frequently.

Announcers Box

Techer: Well folks that's the inning.

Cut to commercial

Techer: Alright Wheels I gotta go take care something, Mate.

Wheels: But-

Techer: Goo d'aye

Techer needed to find out what facebook is. He bumped into Miss Kate in the hallway.

RT: Miss Kate is it?

MK: That's me. Your the new reporter.

RT: Yes. What is this facebook?
MK: Facebook? Oh that's like a social network site.

RT: Thanks Mate.
They went their seperate ways

Techer to himself: I reckon I love her.

Paul: In the dugout: Hey Chris, I get a weird feeling that someone else loves Miss Kate.

Chris: Tell that weird feeling to get in line.

Press Box

Jones: Whoo! Another two runs for the Stranglers.

Techer: That makes it 6-1 Scranton as Howard and Kennedy touch home plate.

During the seventh inning stretch Techer went to buy Miss Kate this good american food called a dog hot.

Techer: Here Miss Kate, I foundd this weird food in Harvard and I couldn't believe they were selling these things.

Miss Kate: Umm... Thank you.

Techer: Your quite welcome mate.

Miss Kate to herself: Great. I have four younger men in love with me and not one of them is Dennis.

The Stranglers won 6-3 against the Rockies at beautiful Panpaka. Brian Wilson got a rare save.

To Be Continued...

August 31st 2008

Dennis biked past all of the kids with the long faces. He understood why they were sad. It was the last day of summer. Even he was sad. This summer had been great to him. A lot of the kids recognised him from SSN. They had followed The Stranglers magical first year and it still was not over yet. Hopefully a win today would cheer them up.

He was right outside Panpaka Park. Harry Jones had playfully set up a bike parking space for him. God, Harry was like a second father, he was adopted and you never know...

Miss Kate: Dennis! Over here!

Dennis: Hey Katie!

Only Dennis called her Katie. Well except for Chris, and she has to call him Captain Awesome in return.

Dennis: You ready for pregame live?

Miss Kate: Jack's in a bad mood so watch out.

Jack: I heard that!

Miss Kate: Whatever.

GAMETIME

They had Azul Abuela going today in the rain.

Dennis: Azul's looking for that elusive tenth win today.

Jack: Stat nerd.

Dennis: I'm not a stat nerd.

Miss Kate: A real stat nerd would know that if the Stranglers win they get a magic number.

Dennis: Whatever.

Harry: Game is starting!

Mia: Am I late? What did I miss?
Jack: The Stranglers won the pennant, then got so drunk they fell of a cliff. So not much.

Inning 1

Ryan Techar: The Stranglers have managed to strikee first with a 2 out Chris Kennedy double and a Ryan Howard single.

Producer: And we're off. Three minutes!

Ryan: Got to go see Miss Kate.

Ryan: 'Ello mayte.

Miss Kate: What? Oh. Hi.

Ryan: Here's your hot dog.

Miss Kate: Uh. Thanks.

Ryan to himself: She loves me so much.

Miss Kate: Instead of roses and love notes I get hot dogs. And still none from Dennis!

Inning 5

Harry: Scranton's scored three more with Pablo, Mick, and englishman, Reg McLeary.

Ryan: Uh oh. Braves sre threatening.

Wheels: and there goes a three run shot making it 4-3 in the seventh.

Jack: Man why the **** did Sgt. Pepper keep Blue Grandmother in for so long?

Harry: Its not like he wasn't doing awful. Just three runs isn't bad.

Inning 8

Ryan: Rudy Seanez came in and gave up a homer to Teixera, but in the bottom half Pablo got on, Ringo homered, and Kennedy followed. Now here comes fear the beard Wilson with a three up three down inning to get the save.

Stranglers: 7
Braves: 4
WP: Azul Abuela
LP: Derek Lowe
Save: Brian Wilson

Okay how am I doing with the updates? I'm getting inside the characters thoughts more instead of the more scripted players point of view.
And since I'm getting insidse their thoughts, here's Jack Merluzzi
Jack: dggdsevaayokbxsopnjk921h=o?

Sgt. Pepper asks Jack to step outside. *Yelping noises*

Azul Abuela has his tenth win. Decides to call his grandma to cheer her up.

"Hello, grandmother? I hear you've been feeling blue..."

I really like this log.

John Lennon (I think I'm his agent) is playing a medley of Beatles songs naked in the locker room after that win. Everyone flees.

Ringo (I think I'm his agent as well; it's early!) is happy about getting his home run.

Game Recap: Stranglers Postgame Live

Jack: The Stranglers win again today 6-5.

Jones: McCartney won this game for them, giving up 4 runs in seven innings pitched.

Dennis: The Stranglers offense started with Ryan Howard hitting his 50th home run of the season, a two run blast. A few innings later Pablo Sanchez hit a solo shot, his thirtieth of the season, and for the rest of the game The Stranglers scattered three runs across the board with Wilson gettting the save.

Jack: Now to Miss Kate with McCartney.

Kate: You got the win today, beating the Mets again.

Paul: Always great to beat a rival
Kate: How did you think you did?

Paul: Not good enough. I gave up four runs and we were lucky to escape with the win. I'll do better next time.

Kate: Next time you could clinch the east.

Paul: One step at a time.

Kate: There you have it folks.

Stranglers Win Again 12-8

Post Game In The Break Room

Dennis: Always feels good to beat the Mets.

Harry: You've got that right.

Jack: Those ******* will be begging for mercy come tommorow.

Ryan: Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Do you kiss your mother at all?

Jack: No comment.

Dennis: Anyway how is this for the beat report?

The Stranglers are one win away from sweeping the Mets twicce in a row. It wasn't even close for most of the game. Pablo Sanchez and Ringo Starr got back to back doubles. Kennedy got a triple and Ryan Howard hit a home run. Not a very good start for Mike Pelfrey. Everyone contributedd on offense today. They were leading 6-3 when Azul Abuela gave up three runs. A Carlos Delgado homer, and a Carlos Beltran two run shot. Both pitchers were knocked out. Wild Thing came on in the eighth and allowed back to back homers to Moises Alou and Carlos Beltran. Chris Kennedy homered to make it 9-8 in the bottom half of the inning, and thenthe Stranglers scored three more runs before Brian Wilson finished the game.

WP: WildThing
LP: Aaron Heilman

Harry: Sounds good.

He has proofreaders, most likely.
