Arizona Diamondbacks (3-1) @ Colorado Rockies (1-3)

Randy Johnson (0-0, 0.00) vs. Franklin Morales (0-0, 0.00)

DENVER --
The Snakes have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. Granted we're only five games in, it's still a first. Franklin Morales of the Rockies went the distance in a 3-hit shutout with some help from a Brad Hawpe home run.

When asked about the outcome, Chris Young laughed and said with a smile, "I dunno, someone must've changed the settings or something."

Final Score: Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 0

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-2) @ Colorado Rockies (2-3)
Brandon Webb (1-0, 5.14) vs. Aaron Cook (0-1, 27.00)

DENVER --
This game wasn't nearly as one-sided as the first two of the series as Brandon Webb did his best to keep the Arizona offense in the game. But, even though they had bats and a pitcher with a 27.00 ERA on the mound, the D-Backs couldn't score a run. Just like yesterday they were held to three hits while Webb allowed two runs on eight. A Brad Hawpe line-drive homer into the pond in center field and, oddly enough, an Aaron Cook blast that just hopped over the wall in right were the Rockies' only two runs.

WP - Cook (1-1) | LP - Webb (1-1) | SV -

Final Score: Rockies 2, Diamondbacks 0

The Diamondbacks will head home to open Chase Field for a series against the first-place Dodgers.

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-2) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (4-2)
Edgar Gonzalez (0-0, 0.00) vs. Brad Penny (1-0, 0.00)

PHOENIX --
After beginning the season with a sweep of the Cincinnati Reds, the Diamondbacks have lost four straight games and have been shut out twice. Brad Penny keeps his ERA at zero after dealing a one-hit complete game shutout to the Snakes in the home opener. The lone hit was a Conor Jackson opposite field flair just over the head of a leaping James Loney at first base.

WP - Penny (2-0) | LP - Gonzalez (0-1) | SV -

Final Score: Dodgers 3, Diamondbacks 0

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-4) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (5-2)
Dan Haren (1-0, 0.00) vs. Derek Lowe (0-1, 5.40)

PHOENIX --
The Diamondbacks have fallen yet again but at least it wasn't a shutout as the boys were able to scratch a run across against Cy Lowe. Or at least it seemed like that was his name, the way he was pitching. Dan Haren pitched pretty well himself but ran into a bases loaded with no outs problem in the seventh inning. Four runs crossed before the bleeding finally stopped. It has just been a rough stretch of games here for Arizona.

WP - Lowe (1-1) | LP - Haren (1-1) | SV -

Final Score: Dodgers 6, Diamondbacks 1

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-5) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (6-2)
Doug Davis (1-0, 1.29) vs. Jason Schmidt (1-0, 1.80)

PHOENIX --
We lost again O.o

WP - Schmidt (2-0) | LP - Davis (1-1) | SV -

Final Score: Dodgers 7, Diamondbacks 0

The Colorado Rockies will head into Phoenix for a three-game series next

Tough luck on the losing streak, though. Don't worry, you can pick it up!

Add me to that list. A kid at our school has that shirt, and I always turn my head to read it before I realize my mistake. And nice job so far. You just gotta get your offense going. :)

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-6) vs. Colorado Rockies (5-5)

Randy Johnson (0-1, 6.75) vs. Franklin Morales (1-0, 0.00)

PHOENIX --
It looked really promising for a while but the Diamondbacks have lost yet again. With the score tied 4-4 in the twelfth inning Chris Young let a Matt Holliday ground ball squeak through his legs and get all the way to the centerfield wall. Closer Brian Fuentes was able to come on and shut down the D-Backs offense for a save.

After the game Justin Upton had this to say about it, "It was a boneheaded play and that idiot shouldn't have let it happen." Rather than crack down and punish Upton, management could only nod in silent agreement.

WP - Capellan (1-1) | LP - Cruz (0-1) | SV - Fuentes (2)

Final Score: Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 4 in 12 innings

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-7) @ Colorado Rockies (6-5)
Brandon Webb (1-1, 3.60) vs. Aaron Cook (1-1, 7.30)

PHOENIX --
It has been just a frustrating stretch of games for the Arizona Diamondbacks as of late. A quality performance by Brandon Webb was wasted as the Snakes were once again shutout, this time 4-0. Webb went seven innings, allowing two runs and striking out eleven. Aaron Cook went the distance in the shutout, his second blanking of the Diamondbacks in this last week of games. Troy Tulowitzki belted his first home run of the season to lead off the eighth inning against Doug Slaten.

WP - Cook (2-1) | LP - Webb (1-2) | SV -

Final Score: Rockies 4, Diamondbacks 0

Arizona Diamondbacks (3-7) @ Colorado Rockies (6-5)
Hideo Nomo(0-0, 0.00) vs. Jeff Francis (1-1, 4.91)

PHOENIX --
It was a loss but it wasn't a shutout as the Diamondbacks were able to bring a run home in the ninth inning. Orlando Hudson singled and stole his way to third base then was driven in on a Stephen Drew single. Drew, though, was left stranded as yet another complete game was pitched against Arizona. Hideo Nomo, in his D-Backs debut, pitched spectacularly: seven and one third innings pitched, one run on three hits, ten strikeouts, zero walks. "We brought him in to be the veteran we know he's capable of being and he showed us he can still deal out there." said Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin during the post game press conference. Adding on to that comment was GM Jim Byrnes with this promising bit of information, "Obviously we would've liked to get him [Nomo] a win but we just can't execute right now. We've got a trade on the table that we're waiting to hear back about. If it goes through, we should see some more wins immediately."

WP - Francis (2-1) | LP - Nomo (0-1) | SV -

Final Score: Rockies 5, Diamondbacks 1

The Diamondbacks are headed back onto the road beginning with a series against the Giants in San Francisco.
