Dude, if your file gets corrupted, don't delete it. Restart the game and see if it works again. It usually does. If it doesn't, then you can delete it.

One time I got an error message thing saying a file was corrupted or something. I just couldn't save the 2000 points from playing the game. I was still able to save my season mode file.
