That must have been an interesting conversation.

It was. CC showed up threw me against the wall of the parking deck and said "Me and Masa, are your clients now, no questions." I then said "You could of just asked me, I would of said Yes." CC said "Oh, ok then, tell Mr. Leo that I'm ready to kick some White Sox butt on opening day"

And he did :) .

Wow. Now that's confidence. CC gets bonus points for using my celebrity name in a sentence.

Indians (3-2) @ Athletics (5-1)

Indians Lose Despite 5-Run Ninth

OAKLAND—The Indians were down seven runs going into the ninth, and despite scoring five runs, did not come out on top in an incredible slugfest. Sabathia gave up seven runs, and Kobayashi, the losing pitcher, gave up four. "It hurts to lose the way we did," manager and GM Benny Leo stated in a press conference, "but you just have to keep fighting. I believe it was Casey Stengel who said, 'Most games are lost, not won.' We have to be proud of what we accomplished and move on."

Score: 15-13 OAK
W: Foulke
L: Kobayashi
MVP: E. Chavez
HR: E. Chavez, F. Thomas (2), Hafner (2), J. Peralta (4)

Blake: 5-6, 2B, RBI, 3 R
V. Martinez: 3-6, 2B, 2 RBI, R

OAK

Blanton: 4 2/3 IP, 6 R, 16 H, K
E. Chavez: 5-5, 2B, HR, 6 RBI, 3 R
F. Thomas: 3-5, HR, 5 RBI

Lee wants to know why he's behind Paul Byrd in the rotation. He feels his talent more than surpasses Byrd. However, Hafner is happy where he is.

Knowing from my Twins Log, Lee is prone to giving up a fair amount of runs. We'll see if Byrd is solid by the All-Star break. Lee should treat this as an opportunity, a training ground, a chance to prove himself without going to AAA.

Quite Frankly, Cliff Lee in this game stinks. But, he's a great bottom of the rotation guy that's easy to steal from the Indians in a trade.

I want to be the agent for Asdrubal Cabrera!

Cabrera says that Rafael Betancourt should be the closer.

I didn't really care to play against the Angels, and I declined to play with the A's again… we've got the Red Sox next.

Bullpen Gives Up 5, Hafner Gets It Back With Walkoff

CLEVELAND—Despite the bullpen combining to give up a 5-run lead, Travis Hafner hit a walkoff home run to send the Cleveland fans home happy. In the sixth inning, Jason Varitek hit his 150th career HR, Casey Blake and Jhonny Peralta hit Back-2-Back home runs, and starter Westbrook was taken out of the game with an elbow injury. Westbrook, however, is expected to make his next start. Also, in the seventh inning, Hafner, V-Mart and Blake hit Back-2-Back-2-Back home runs. After the game, when asked about being part of both B2B HR chains, Blake said, "Pretty awesome thing to do, ain't it?"

Borowski Loses Closer Role

CLEVELAND—Due largely in part to blown late-inning chances, has been relegated to set-up role as Rafael Betancourt will take his place.

Indians @ Twins

Twins Take Opportunities, Win Game

MINNESOTA—Benny Leo's first trip back to Minnesota since his abrupt resigning didn't go very bad, although he probably would have preffered sweeping the series than taking 2 out of 3. Alas, this would be the case, as the Twins scored 4 runs in the third and held off the Indians for a 6-5 victory.

Score: 6-5
W: Guerrier (2-1)
L: Carmona (4-1)
S: Nathan (5)
MVP: Everett
HR: J. Peralta (8)

Not doing player stats cause my iPod's almost dead.
