Zito is happy about contributing to the victory today. Lackey can't wait for his next start.

BREWERS SWEEP CARDS AND TAKE LEAD IN CENTRAL

BREWERS-(8-3) 6
CARDINALS-(5-6) 1

MILWAUKEE- The Brewers swept the Cardinals in the three game series at Miller Park. They are now two games ahead of the Reds in the Central division. In yesterday afternoon's game, Fielder got the action going early. Weeks and Hardy led off the first with singles. Braun tried a sac fly, but he didn't hit the ball deep enough. Fielder hit a three run jack on a meatball right down the middle to give the Brewers an early lead. Fielder hit another homer in the third to give the Brew Crew a 4-0 lead. In the fifth, Braun hit a solo homer so he could keep the tie for most homers with Prince. The Cardinals got their first and only run in the sixth on an RBI single by Chris Duncan. Then, in the seventh, Braun got his sac fly opportunity again, but this time converted, and drove in Rickie Weeks to make the final score 6-1 Brewers. It was the Brewers fifth win in a row. Manager Leo Michaels said, " I'm happy the team is winning so many games, and that they are in first place." The Brewers are now heading to Wrigley Field for another four game series against the Cubs. Also, the players of the week were announced, but no Brewers players earned the honor.

W- Gallardo 1-1(7 1/3 innings pitched, 69 pitches, 6 hits, 2 Ks, 0 BB, 1 run, 4.26 ERA)
L- Lohse 0-2

Weeks- 3-4, two doubles, two runs scored
Hardy- 3-4, three singles, one run
Hall- 3-4, three singles
Fielder- 2-4, two HRs(6,7), four RBIs, two runs

RUMORS???
MILWAUKEE- Rumors have been released that the Brewers wanted former A's manager Ken Macha to be their manager, but Macha didn't want the job and their only other option was Leo Michaels who had just graduated from college. Macha, and the Brewers organization declined comment.

BREWERS LATE INNING RALLY PROVIDES WIN

BREWERS-(9-5) 8
CUBS(6-8) 3

CHICAGO- The Brewers finally got a win against the Cubs. After losing the first two games, they won yesterday afternoon's game. The Brewers win held the tie with the Reds for first place. The Cubs got up early yesterday. In the second, Deago hit an RBI single. The pitcher, Ted Lilly, singled and drove in two runs to give the Cubs a 3-0 lead after the second inning. The action died down after that. Then, the Brewers stared a multi-inning rally in the sixth. Rickie Weeks hit a two run Homer to give the Brewers some hope. The next inning, Fielder hit a solo HR to tie the game at 3-3. Jason Kendall, who is not known for his batting skills, hit an RBI single to drive in a run that gave the Brewers the lead. In the top of the eighth, Weeks and Hardy singled to lead off the inning. Braun hit them home on a three run homerun to give the Brewers a 7-3 lead going into the ninth. In the ninth, Weeks doubled to lead it off, and Hardy doubled to bring in the last run of the game, making the final score 8-3. The Brewers try to even the series tonight, and hopefully take the division lead at the same time.

W- Zito 3-0(6 1/3 innings, 72 pitches, 10 hits, 6 Ks, 0 BB, 3 runs, ERA 1.57)
L- Lilly 0-3
S- Turnbow (1)

This wont be updated for a little bit. I'm taking players through Success Mode and making a team out of them, called the Sacramento Black Sox. I've almost got all of my starting pitchers done. Does anybody look at this anymore? If they do I might keep going.

The pitcher is Capuano so I guess it was an original pitcher. He has a level 7 changeup and a level 6 slider.
