I don't watch all of each video, I usually just skip around to see what Siegmund's up to.

Well, maybe once half of the league is retired he'll actually be able to make the All Star Game.

Haha, I feel like it's my fault because I accidentally gave him trajectory 4.

So, for those that do like the log, is there anything specific you can say that you like about it? Or, for anyone, is there anything that you don't like about it?

I'd like to make any log I write in the future as well liked as it can be. I already have a plan for another one, with a unique twist to it. I'd like it to be as good as it can be.

Unfortunately, because of the limited save slots, I can't write a new one until I finish this or delete the Successes or Powerfuls.

I really like the fact that you don't highlight any games and just go through all the months. I also like the way you write each "month in review."

Yeah, I like the month in review updates as well. It makes the log go by faster, so it's easier to track the progression of the team.

I like the video updates, and the writing is good, but I'd like to see more done with the video.

Last moment trades:

In the last week before the trade deadline a lot of teams make last moment trades to try to fix their weaknesses or improve on their strengths, the Reapers were no exception this year. Accepting and making trade offers late in July.

Reapers accept from Dodgers:
Phil Hughes

Reapers trade to Dodgers:
Jeroloman

"Hughes doesn't have too big of a salary compared to Jeroloman, they are around the same age, and Hughes has more major league experience and has proven himself a competent starter at that level. Jeroloman has no major league experience but with a little luck he could win a Rookie of the Year Award in the future, he does have that kind of potential. Overall, if Hughes performs as well as he has been with the Dodgers, or even half as well, it's a good trade for us."

With this trade, the Reapers are switching to a 6 man starting rotation, Hughes is 4th, ahead of Mitre and Cosme. They have switched their swing man spot to another middle reliever. On another note, Reapers will be taking a bigger chance on their draft pick, Minges, after he has had some success so far this year, the Reapers have promoted him to the role of closing pitcher, Fiore is moved to middle relief.

The Reapers have also made a late trade with the Twins.

Reapers get:
Brendan Harris
Brian Bass
351 points

Twins get:
Prochaska
Castellan

"Although we have had some inconsistency at right field, I don't think we would have had much use for Prochaska in the future, if anything we'll call up our prospect Orie, so we didn't need him. Castellan was good, but all of our pitching staff is, he just happened to be the worst active pitcher, so we won't really need him, we have plenty of good pitching prospects, and Bass is actually an improvement on our pitching if he plays near his current level consistently. One of our biggest problems was at second base, and Harris is a huge improvement there, if he can play consistently. Consistency is my biggest concern right now."

After this trade, Harris replaces Zuniga at second base, and Bass replaces Bourgeois at the MLB level. Bass will play as a middle reliever.

Finally, the Reapers have made a trade with the Red Sox:

Reapers get:
Hideki Okajima

Red Sox get:
Fiore

"For us, Fiore started the year struggling, but he was starting to turn things around, maybe he'll do great with the Red Sox and this trade will work out for both of us. Who knows? This is a bit of a salary increase for our team, but not too much, we'll be able to manage it without any problems for sure."

Okajima is set to be a set-up man for the Reapers along with Fireballer.

"When I requested the trade, I planned to put Okajima at closer, but Minges has been doing good in his short time in that role. I feel he should have a chance there for a while. I can move Okajima over there if he starts underperforming."

End of July:

Financial Report:
Income: 10938
Expenses: 6408
Total Gain: 4530
Current Amount: 145119

The Reapers had a 15-10 record for July, which was good enough to put them even farther ahead of the Angels, who are still in second place, 11 games behind.

"It might seem kind of egotistical, but at this point I think maybe we could start to slack off and still make the playoffs. I don't condone it, and I would fire any player I caught doing it. I'm just saying..."

Duke leads the team as a pitcher, with a 2.35 ERA and an 11-5 record. Fireballer's ERA has shot way up through July, but it is still at an amazing 1.54.

Bay and Pedroia are leading the team as hitters, with .310 and .311 averages, and 127 and 129 hits. Youkilis leads the team with 17 home runs. Jack Wilson leads the team with 77 RBIs.

The Reapers team ERA is down to 3.25, still the best in the MLB. Their team batting average is at .276, which is pretty average of a batting average.

Playoffs only a couple months away now.

Added a poll, as you can see, it didn't work, as of right now I'm leaving it up while I ask DS if he can do anything to fix the poll glitching on the forum. You can answer by posting if you want to answer.

I think Okajima is pretty good, IMO.

Like what?

Also, in case there is any confusion, I am asking about which is the best addition to the team, not which trade was the best.

After a very expensive power training bat broke, Reapers replaced it with an all around hitting bat, and moved the majority of their hitters to all around batting practice to compensate. Reapers General Manager is pleased with the team's hitting lately but feels it has to improve more urgently than their pitching does.

End of August:
Reapers Minges won Rookie of the Month with 7 saves, a 1.42 ERA, and 6 strikeouts.

Financial Report:
Income: 11521
Expenses: 56603
Total Loss: 45082
Current Amount: 100037

The Reapers had a 15-12 record for August, not the best, but in the AL West you won't have too many problems with records like that. The Angels are still 11 games behind, and the Reapers now have a magic number, set at 19 to begin September.

Duke has lead the team pitching, he not only leads the team with a 2.36 ERA and 15 wins, he leads the whole American League. Most other Reapers starting pitchers struggle to pitch enough innings to count in the ERA rankings. Fireballer has lowered his ERA to 1.38.

Pedroia leads the team with a .308 average and 161 hits. Youkilis leads the team in home runs with 20. Robbins now leads the team in RBIs with 94. Corey Hart continues to come up with a bad average, it currently sits a .207, he has 16 home runs, his average is lowest on the team by .055.

"We're all hoping he's just having an off year and he'll be able to turn it around for next year. We all like him, but he's dragging the team average way down. If he continues to perform at this level we'll have to find someone else to replace him."

Playoffs next month, the Reapers are almost certain to be in them.

End of September:
Reapers Minges won Rookie of the Month with 7 saves, a 1.29 ERA and 4 strikeouts. Reapers Duke won Pitcher of the Month with 4 wins, a 1.80 ERA and 35 strikeouts.

Financial Report:
Income: 11537
Expenses: 6390
Total Gain: 5147
Current Amount: 105184

The Reapers had a great 18-10 month to clinch the division.

Rather than having the usual monthly update I'll simulate the last regular season game, in October, and then give the stats for the season like last year.

I will say right now that the Reapers record was an amazing 102-60, second to the Yankees in MLB ranking.

First, the standings:
Yankees won the AL East with a 104-58 record
Red Sox won the AL Wild Card with a 93-69 record
Indians won the AL Central with an 89-73 record
Reapers have (obviously) won the AL West with a 102-60 record
Mets won the NL East with a 95-67 record
Astros won the NL Central with a 92-70 record
Cardinals (defending World Series Champions) won the NL Wild Card with an 89-73 record
Diamondbacks won the NL West with a 90-72 record
Penguins finished last in the MLB with a 63-99 record
