Any moment now we will have results of a trade that would send Chuck James and Damaso Marte off to the Mariners for King Felix and Eric O'Flaherty...

...

...

*The phone rings...*

ANDREW RELINK IS ON THE LINE! ANDREW RELINK! PIRATES GENERAL MANAGER!!!!

"Was the trade accepted?" Asked the excited news reporter...

*Andrew puts on a serious tone and bellows in a loud voice.*

"We acquired two great, young pitchers today after SENDING AWAY ARE SLACKERS! KING FELIX IS NOW A BUC!!!!!

Pirates' Fans around the world are speachless after this trade was approved. Heck! Even Little is speachless! We caught him in a local bar dancing and partying because he's so happy!

Oh, wait... Before I go, one last trade to announce!

Pirates land big for Maholm. Jered Weaver now a Pirate!

This was a trade that was requested by a fan. Yes, a fan. The suggestion was e-mailed to Andrew ReLink, asking if they could try and persue Jered Weaver as the child's dying wish. Andrew attempted to persue Weaver immediatly after the King Felix-James trade went through. This means, the Pirates have done away with three slumping pitchers before the trade deadline. They're expected, according to some experts, to make another move....

Yeah, I'll probably attempt a Snell-(Orlando)Hernandez trade with the Mets tomorrow. I'll probably try to throw in Nady and Wright to. Which would make Wright start first! :)

Talk about taking apart a franchise and making it invincable. If you get wright then wow you'd be unbeatable. In the offseason make sure to make Wright a 1st baseman and Bautista a shortstop if you want them to stay there

Yeah, once I get a solid, talented bullpen full of people like Yates and Eric O'Flaherty, I'll be unbeatable. However, if I land this trade with the Mets, I'll have a good run for the rest of the year and (hopefully) into the post season. I also modified the trade abit. Instead of Orlando, it'll be John Maine (9-1) and David Wright for Nady and Snell. I may have thrown Doumit into the mix not sure...

Anyway, I'm going to do another press confrence with Andrew ReLink tomorrow. So, I'd appreciate it if you guys ask questions for him. :)

I just went ahead and simulated the rest of the season, and the Nady-Wright trade gets accepted but we end up going 80-82 :(

I didn't save though, so don't worry.

Pirates @ Astros

This is game three of a three game series. So far, the it is a tie. Winner of this game wins the series.

We've seen ball after ball hit out of the park, runner after runner crossing the plate, and pitching dual after pitching dual - now, it's time a future ace meets an ace!

Anibal Sanchez vs. Roy Oswalt on the mound. This is a dual. Both have been hot this year, but only one can walk away with the victory.

Pirates rally to score eleven in ninth, Sanchez owned on the mound; trade in works

This game was lopsided until the ninth. Sanchez, gave the Astros an early lead, and the Pirates offense struggled for most of the game, with a few highlights. One of which being Kearns hitting two triples!

Anibal "Canibal" Sanchez
He did not show what he is really made of in this game. This is a pitcher who can pitch no hitters, as he did for the Marlins. However, his downfall was relaxing too much on the mound and getting nervous. He was able to pitch one and two thirds of an inning, allowing nine hits, striking out four, and letting seven runs slip by.

Eric O'Flahtery
He came into relieve Anibal in the second, but Pirates management must have had a lapse of judgement. They immediatly pulled Eric out of the game after he gave up a single.

Phil Dumatrait
This guy is a reliever? Incredible! He pitched like Anibal should've. Dumatrait only stayed in the game for three and two thirds of an inning, but he was incredible. He allowed one hit, struck out eight batters, and let no one score. He was pulled out after his shoulder started to hurt. Don't worry though, he's fine.

Tyler Yates
The golden reliever. He came in for two and two thirds of an inning, allowing one hit which was a homerun, striking out three.

John Grabow
Grabow came into relieve Tyler in the ninth, pitched one inning, allowed zero hits, struck out one batter, and of course, let no one score! He walked away with the save. (Screwey PP system is to blame. He should have won.)

Offensive Highlights

Dan Uggla was able to launch his twenty-six homerun of the season three hundred and ninty-six feet, his longest of the year. His homerun was the final hit of the Pirates rally, but it was a big one!

Austin Kearns was making contact all the time... no one could stop him. He had two triples in the game, his most this year.

Though, none of these accomplishments can rate to Nate McLouth's performance. He was able to hit the go-ahead run last night. He, of course, is the player of the game.

Thank you, McLouth!

However, none of this news can compare to the newest blockbuster deal involving the Pirates...

"We didn't think the Mets would take us seriously," said Andrew ReLink. "It was meant to be a joke; like you know, a struggling pitcher for arguably one of the best, and a slumping Nady for David Wright." He added, "It would leave many holes in their lineup, but we lucked out." As you can see, ReLink had no intentions of having the trade go through, but it did. This trade involved the following people:

Xavier Nady, first baseman of the Pirates.
Ian Snell, struggling starting pitcher of the Pirates.
Tony Abreu, a minor league third baseman.

&

John Maine, a starting pitcher on the Mets who leads the team in wins. (9-1).
David Wright, an all-star third baseman who's been red hot all year. He's hitting .325 with fifteen homeruns and one-hundred and eleven RBIs.
