Sure thing Anthony, I'll get on that first thing when I get back on the game today.

Sorry I haven't updated with this in a few days guys, I've been engrossed in HW + Halo/Madden lately, but I promise within the week there will be more updates.

The log returns tonight with the simming of the final two Royals games plus possibly the next series preview and maybe more.

Simmed the next two Royals games.

August 4, 2016
(75-34) Eagles vs Royals (55-54): Game 2

Clayton Kershaw and Felipe Paulino drew the starts for their respective teams, and they got into a heated pitchers' duel. It took six innings for either team to break the shutout, and luckily it was us - we picked up just a single run in our half of the 6th. Though he only allowed that one run, Paulino's day was done after the 6th. Kershaw's wasn't, however, and his offense suddenly woke up for a five-run 7th inning off of reliever Matt Reynolds. That was more than enough for the young Kershaw, who lowered his ERA to 2.56 with the dominant, complete-game effort.

Player of the Game: Clayton Kershaw - threw a CG for the win

Final Score:
Eagles: 6
Royals: 0

W - Kershaw (13-4) | L - F. Paulino (10-3)

August 5, 2016
(76-34) Eagles vs Royals (55-55): Game 3

Rookie Sean Haynes took the mound in a spot start looking to lead the team to a sweep of KC, and he was opposed by ace Josh Johnson. Predictably, the young righty, who before the game began had an above 6 ERA, struggled. By the third it was 4-0, but power hitter Chris Davis brought us back into it with a three-run bomb. Haynes continued the rough outing by allowing those runs right back, with the Royals back on top 7-3 by the 6th. And thus, Joakim Soria made an appearance, pitching a solid two innings. Unfortunately, it had come too late as the offense couldn't overcome the huge deficit. Josh Johnson gave up just the three-run homer to Davis in his 9 innings of work.

Player of the Game: Alcides Escobar - knocked in 2 runs on 3 hits

Final Score:
Eagles: 3
Royals: 8

W - J. Johnson (8-3) | L - Haynes (1-2)
HR - C. Davis (14), Hosmer (24)

C. Davis: 1-4, HR, 3 RBI
M. Saunders: 1-4, R
Ackley: 1-4, SO, R
Haynes: 7 IP, 15 H, 3 K, 1 BB, 8 ER, 1 HR

J. Johnson: 9 IP, 10 H, 2 K, 3 ER, 1 HR

Agents, if you wanna see your player's stats this game or any game when they aren't listed, or what they're doing in practice, let me know.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (Jul. 30 to Aug. 5)

Some new info hit the news stands today - top players among the NL and AL have been named for the first week or so of August.

Carlos Santana, catcher for the Indians, hit .500 with 2 HRs and 9 RBIs while Carlos Pena, slugging first baseman of Tampa Bay, managed a .450 average with a pair of homers plus 6 runs driven in. The two were at the top for the AL side.

Image Image

Meanwhile, Brandon Crawford, the Pirates shortstop who is normally known as more of an apt fielder rather than hitter, broke out for a .542/3/13 stat line over the span of the week. CarGo (Rockies) on the other hand, has delivered as expected this year and over the first week of August has batted .500 with 4 homers and 12 RBIs. They made their mark against National League pitching.

That's all for this week, hopefully one of the Eagles make it on there for the next edition.

Thanks Zero, series preview against my next opponent is coming up, and I'll try and get the game out tonight too.

(76-35) Eagles vs Blue Jays (48-63): Series Preview (8/6-8/8)

Image VS.Image

Our next series sees us staying at home while the Blue Jays make the trip down from Canada to NJ to play three.

Toronto isn't the worst in the AL East, stat-wise, but they aren't the best either. They've put up a .269 average as a team with 596 runs scored, 1081 hits, 145 homers, and 101 stolen bases to this point. The Blue Jays' pitching staff is average too, compiling a poor 5.23 team ERA, 624 runs allowed, 1203 hits allowed, 116 homers allowed, 779 strikeouts, and 416 walks.

Ricky Romero (95/D/A) remains the team's ace and its workhorse, pitching 116 innings in his outings, though he has almost a 6 earned run average and an awful 5-10 W-L record. No one else on their mediocre pitching staff stands out to me. Their offense does, on the other hand. They're stacked all over the place with studs Jose Bautista (D/B/D/B/D/D) - his stat line reads .286, 28 HRs, 82 RBIs, Brett Lawrie (B/B/C/C/D/B) - who has teared up AL pitching to the tune of a .300 average with 18 bombs and 64 runs knocked in, plus vet Edwin Encarnacion (D/B/D/D/D/D) - who has maintained a .289 average along with 20 HRs and 63 ribbies. But that's not all, 2B Kelly Johnson (D/C/C/D/D/D) has been a solid contributor - .280 with 14 bombs and 51 runs batted in, and speedster Michael Bourn (C/E/A/D/B/C) has done his part with a .286 average as well as 3 home runs, 60 RBIs, and 28 stolen bases.

With such an offense, I'm surprised they haven't done better this season. I guess it's the pitching holding them back.

It's their home record also, I suppose. They're 21-29 in the Rogers Centre in 2016, and not much better at 27-34 while on the road. The Jays are also 24-26 vs their Eastern bretheren, and 42-51 vs AL teams.

At 5-5 in their last six and 28 games back, they're pretty much mathematically out of it with 51 games remaining in the season. I'm sure they'd love to take down the division leader though, so it won't be a walk in the park.

Lefty Matt Moore will face off against spot starter Fullmer (89/D/C, 4.81 ERA) in Game 1, then King Felix will be opposed by Mike Pelfrey in Game 2. The finale will see rookie Sean Haynes making another spot start vs Jesse Litsch. Play ball.

There's a chance as long as the weather's calm for tonight, I'll get out at least one update.

The Blue Jays game has been completed for a few days but I haven't got around to putting it up.

Normally, I just type in the summary as I go, instead of writing and copying. But still, can't wait!

I used to do that with my Giants log, but I think this way is easier so the info is saved at least.

Yeah, and if you were playing the game the power could go out and you could lose all your data

Yeah, but there's nothing you could do about that. Even if writing, the power may still go out, and if you didn't save the game, you'd lose it anyways.

Phillies, I'm kinda confused on how you update. If you waited a few days, wouldn't you forget what happened?
