Lincecum is injured, and when I checked the DL it said he's out for like 12 days. >_>
<_<

Idk about Haren, he'd be a good move, but I'd have to do a search for him.

...Wow. Him for Chuck James would be an awesome trade.

The Pirates have been hot... let's see how everybody is ranking halfway through the season!

We'll start with the Pirates lineup and work ourselves into the pen.

Starting Lineup

1. Cody Ross - .334, twelve homeruns, and seventy-seven RBIs. He plays left field.
2. Nate McLouth - .262, eight homeruns, and thirty-eight RBIs. He's a clutch right fielder who's won the club some games.
3. Dan Uggla - .345, twenty-three homeruns, and sixty-seven RBIs. He spent most of the season with the Marlins, but he was traded for Freddy Sanchez. He plays secondbase.
4. Xavier Nady - .279, fifteen homeruns, and seventy-one RBIs. He originally started at right field, but was moved to first base after Mike Jacobs failed to get the bat off of his shoulders. He plays first base.
5. Austin Kearns - .290, twenty-one homeruns, and fifty-six RBIs. He was picked up by the Pirates after they traded Mike Jacobs away. He's a great addition to this outfield, and starts in center.
6. Jose Bautista - .314, sixteen homeruns, fourty-nine RBIs. He played third for most of the season, but was then moved to short after the Pirates acquired Ryan Zimmerman.
7. Ryan Zimmerman - .323, eleven homeruns, and fifty-three RBIs. He was picked up by the Bucs in a trade to the Nationals which sent over ace Cole Hamels. He plays third, and is the quarter stone of this lineup.
8. Ronnie Paulino - .243, four homeruns, and fourty-six RBIs. He's been a solid defensive catcher this year, lacking in offensive areas. He's expected to be traded before the deadline is up.
9. Chris Duffy - .319, four homeruns, and thirty-four RBIs. Usually, he's a backup, but when the Pirates need a DH, this is the guy they call. He's a solid contact hitter with killer speed on the basepaths.

Bench

Ryan Doumit - .213, zero homeruns, and eleven RBIs. He's a backup catcher who barely makes contact with the ball.
Luis Rivas - .259, two homeruns, and fourteen RBIs. He's a defensive backup for Dan Uggla, he'll probably be seeing more playing time now.
Chris Gomez - .348, one homerun, and seven RBIs. Chris is an awesome shortstop who can make contact, but he chokes in key situations.
Njyer Morgan - .200, zero homeruns, and three RBIs. He's a backup left fielder. That's all that needs to be said.
Chris Duffy - .319, four homeruns, and thirty-four RBIs. When he's not playing DH, he's on the bench. He'll see playing time when the Pirates need a defensive upgrade for Kearns, occosionally. However, he's a great centerfielder no matter what with killer speed.

Starting Rotation

1. Zach Duke - 3.57 ERA, 9-3, and one-hundred and three strike outs. He's been the ace of this rotation whether he's starting first or last. This is a player Little and ReLink love with all their heart. He's pitched two no hitters this year, and would love to go for a third.
2. Anibel Sanchez - 4.83 ERA, 3-5, seventy-one strike outs. He spent all his time in Marlins triple-A, but when he was traded to the Pirates, he exploded. He became one of the key players of the Pirates franchise.
3. Tom Gorzelanny - 5.33 ERA, 6-3, and fourty-nine strike outs. He hasn't been the best number three guy around, but he's solid. He's able to keep the ball in the park, and he's better than some of the others in this Pirate rotation.
4. Paul Maholm - 5.66 ERA, 3-4, and seventy-four strike outs. He's another Tom Gorzelanny. He's having a great year, but just needs to work on winning more games by striking out batters.
5. Ian Snell - 5.91 ERA, 7-6, and one-hundred strike outs. He's been a solid guy in this rotation, by winning games and keeping the team out of jams.
6. Chuck James - 6.42 ERA, 5-8, and eighty-four strike outs. He was expected to be one of the better guys on this rotation but he ended up being the worse. He'll probably be traded before the deadline is up.

Bullpen

RP - John Van Benshoten - 6.26 ERA, 3-0, and twenty-eight strike outs. He's been an awesome swingman for the club, and according to fans should be starting in place of James.
RP - Phil Dumatrait - 6.19 ERA, 5-4, and fourty-seven strike outs. He's been a good, solid reliever.
RP - Tyler Yates - 2.17 ERA, 4-3, and fifty-four strike outs. The best, darn reliever the Pirates have. No doubt about it. He has the lowest ERA on the team, and made it to the all-star game!
RP - Damaso Marte - 6.43 ERA, 5-8, and ten strike outs. This guy just sucks. He's blown games instead of winning them, so he's being traded for Red Sox Hideki Okajima.
RP - John Grabow - 5.43 ERA. 3-4, and fourty-three strike outs. He's an average reliever. No complaints about him from Pirates' management.
RP - Matt Capps - 7.55, 1-4, and twenty-one strike outs. Remarkably, this guy has been in twenty-two save attempts this season and hasn't blown one. He's a good closer, gives up some runs, and has control issues, but he's working on calming down with the coaches.

Triple-A

Franquelis Osoria - Pitcher
Evan Meek - Pitcher
Great Matsui - Pitcher
Great Bennett - Pitcher
Campbell - Pitcher
Reid - 2B
Tony Abreu - 3B
Great Speier - RF

Okajima deal falls through; Pirates won't comment. All Star Game under way; ReLink coaches?

Andrew Relink, General Manager of the Pirates, has been asked to be a special coach for the National League all stars. He joyfully accepted, and has announced the line up for the team!

1. Jose Reyes - SS
2. Dan Uggla - 2B
3. Albert Pujols - DH
4. Adam Dunn - LF
5. David Wright - 3B
6. Cody Ross - CF
7. Carlos Delgado - 1B
8. Jason Bay - RF
9. Chris Snyder - C

Zach Duke will go against a C.C. Sabathia on the mound!

This is a duel between two of the best in the game right now. A no-hitter throwing Duke and a strike out King, CC.

American League Lineup

Joe Maddon announced the American League Lineup today, too...

1. Ichiro Suzuki - CF
2. Joe Mauer - C
3. Alex Rodriguez - 3B
4. Manny Ramirez - LF
5. Frank Thomas - DH
6. Travis Hafner - 1B
7. Grady Sizemore - RF
8. Brian Roberts - 2B
9. Johnny Peralta - SS

Both teams are loaded with the best of the best, but only one can win home field advantage in the World Series!

Chris Snyder hits a grandslam in the second! NL up 4-0!

...Oh yeah. He hit that one straight out of the park after Ross, Delgado and Bay each got a single! Looks like Arizona's Catcher will be taking home an award tonight!

Sabathia was pulled for Kerry Wood after Uggla's shot; Wood retires the side in 1-2-3 fashion. Duke gives homer upto Manny Ramirez. 6-1, NL.

Snyder, Uggla combine to score six in all star game. ReLink impressed with Snyder's performance, says something smart and walks off. Yates dealt victory over AL, Sabathia torn to pieces!

Oh! Yes! Snyder and Uggla were unstoppable last night as they combined to score six runs, all of which came from homeruns. Snyder's grandslam and Uggla's two-run homer were the plays of the game, since nothing of interest happened on defense.

Yates came into relieve a homered-off of Duke; Yates walks away with the victory after giving up no runs until the eighth!

The American League combined for a total two runs, eight hits, and zero errors as the Nation League outshined them, putting up six runs, ten hits, and making zero errors on the diamond! Nice fielding for both teams!

Zach Duke was able to strike out four, give up three hits, and one big fly to Manny Ramirez.

After which, Tyler Yates came in and pitched the rest of the game, giving up five hits, striking out seven and allowing one run! Get this man some water, he's on fire for a reliever!

Then there was Chris Snyder, catcher for the Diamondbacks who was named All Star MVP for his go ahead grandslam in the second!

Congratulations Chris! You're going to be a Pirate one day, wait, what? That's right! The Bucs have expressed interest in Snyder and have sent an offer which would move Paulino to Arizona for, of course, Snyder! Pirates Fans rejoice at the sound of the trade, but not the standings of the NL Central...

NL Central Standings

1. Reds 59-38| .608 WPC
2. Brewers 56-39| .589 WPC | 2.0 GB
3. Cardinals 51-45 | .531 WPC | 7.5 GB
4. Pirates 50-45 | .526 WPC | 8.0 GB
5. Cubs 47-48 | .495 WPC | 11.0 GB
6. Astros 41-54 | .432 WPC | 17.0 GB

Hahaha. I hope I can get this Snyder trade through and help close in on the Reds! I could possibly try for Bay again, but I'm overly content with Ross. :) If I make a trade after the Snyder deal, it'll be for a pitcher.

PIRATES ACQUIRE CHRIS SNYDER FROM DIAMONDBACKS IN BLOCKBUSTER; SLUMPING PAULINO PACKS HIS BAGS!

Yes! Pirates fans everywhere are rejoicing now that Chris Snyder is officially a Buc! He's the best offensive catcher in the majors right now with a strong arm to help gun down runners, something Paulino couldn't do!

Today, after the Snyder-Paulino trade, Pirates announced that they have entered negotiations with the Seattle Mariners about a possible King Felix deal!!!
