The MLB Draft was held today.

With the first pick in the draft, the Sonics chose Emerl. Emerl is a right-handed pitcher who can hit 97 miles per hour on the gun, with phenomenal breaking stuff including (but not limited to) a drop curve and hard slider. He projects as a starter.

With their second round pick, the team chose left handed pitcher Marine the Raccoon. Marine can throw 94 miles per hour, and she has a killer slow curve and circle changeup. She also projects as a starter.

Both players have been assigned to Triple-A for the time being.

Note: Those are success players I created and signed specifically for draft day. In reality, I took third baseman Zerbe (5 star potential) with the first pick, and left handed pitcher Saipe (4 stars) with my second pick.

So, I guess you want to play baseball after all." "Of course." She gestured towards Omega. "A team always needs to stick together." "Now just wait a minute" Knuckles interrupted. "You didn't happen to take the Master Emerald while I was gone, did you!?" "Ha, calm down Knucklehead" Rouge responded. "What I'm really interested is a World Series ring, with all those beautiful diamonds. With that on my finger, who needs a silly Master Emerald." "Oh brother" Knuckles muttered, facepalming.

Teams signs Rouge the Bat!
San Jose-- The Sonics made another addition to improve their outfield depth, signing Rouge the Bat to a contract, while releasing Barker to make room. Rouge can play all three outfield positions, and is an excellent fielder and all around player. The team hopes she bolsters an already hot lineup and helps the team keep it's strong momentum since late May.

I think Sonic should be leading off. He has some extra base power (probably from legging out doubles but that's fine) and all those stolen bases make him sneaky productive. Meanwhile, Amy has an empty batting average.

True, but Amy has the higher OBP and SLG and isn't a slouch herself on the basepaths. And we're loaded with good hitters in the middle, so Sonic just naturally slides down the lineup.

Appreciate the feedback though, I just like how the lineup's been doing lately.
