What did you do with expansion team that came in after 1970, like the Rockies and Marlins?

I used their World Series rosters mixed in with the all time players from the respective club. (Ex. I used the Rays 2008 W.S. roster along w/ Wade Boggs, Greg Vaughn, and a few others.)

What about the Padres? They have never made the World Series. They came after 1970 right?

No, the Padres were there in 1970. They were founded in 1969.

Here's the rundown of the expansion team rosters that I used:

1977 Mariners (No WS appearance, so I used when they were founded.
2007 Rockies
2008 Rays
2003 Marlins
2001 Diamondbacks

I've already started a season and it's alot of fun.

The padres have appeared in the world series in 1984 (losing to the tigers) and 1998 (losing 4 zip to the yankees). They had Greg Vaughn, Tony Gwynn, Steve Finlay, Ken Caminiti, John Vander Wal and Trevor Hoffman playing.
