Alright, well, I just joined, and I've read a few threads, and it seems this place is alot more informative on Success mode than any other place I've been to. So, my question is, in what way can you obtain the Gyroball in this game? I also heard there are 3 other fastball types, each better than the Gyroball, Sonic Rising being the best I believe? Well, I would like to know how to get that, because I already made a pitcher, and I think I made him pretty good considering I had no info from this site and just went off of last year's Success mode. Well, my pitcher started out with these stats: 78 MPH G Control E Stamina 1 Curveball (Sorry, don't remember the exact numbers for Control and Stamina) Anyways, he ended up like this: 101 MPH 147 Control 177 Stamina 3 2-Seamer 4 Slider 4 Curve 3 Change-Up 7 Upsilon (Custom Fork pitch with more rise) with Durability4, Fastball Life 4, Spin 4, Vs Lefty 4, Strong Finisher, Good Reflexes, and some other attributes, but I forgot some of them. Point is, I kept trying to figure out how to get the Gyroball at least, thinking Gil might be the one who could give you the custom pitch, but I was completely wrong. So how does one obtain Gyroball? |

It is most likely obtained from dating one of the girls, like in last years game, but i dont know who, or what you have to do to guarantee getting it. Also, i think Sonic Rising was in some Japanese PP games, but not that I know of in USA PP, unless they put in it the game this year, and we have yet to discover it. |

I would think you get it from the doctor since she is smart like Annie from last year. And that guy is awesome! |

Wow, did you use save/reload gamblers to get that guy? Nothing wrong with it if you did (me and my Power Hitter, Contact Hitter, A Power 1st basemen aren't one to judge,) but if you didn't that is absolutely phenomenal. I think my next player is going to be a pitcher. |

Sonic Rising is in Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu 15. If we're lucky, it will become MLBPP 2009. Though, it will be hard because the storyline will need to be westernized. |

Actually, yes, I did save and reload, but I have to say, compared to my best pitcher in 07, he makes them look like the rookies you get in the Arrange teams in this game. It was a good thing that the story mode was only 2 years long b/c it only took about 8 hours to find everything out, but there's still so much I have yet to know, like, the doctor and what not. But if it is from one of the girls, it'll take alot of trials to figure out which one. EDIT: I'll try and get a password up, it'll take a while though considering I only have a camera phone, and it doesn't take good pictures, but maybe a video will help, sometimes does.... |
