With my pitcher I failed the scouts control test; my breaking balls were murder trying to hit the target right. The scout then promptly said, "you throw like a WUSSIE!"

I also like how in the first month of AA, that little kid tells you to crack open the manual once in a while. That always makes me chuckle.

confession: I suck at the pitching tests. In 2007 I prayed that I'd have a Challenge card to play so I could go the strikeout route instead, and in 2008 I'm happy that I can just select the "challenge" option rather than have to score 12-20 points.

I agree, I suck at them too, but I can get the amount of points if I go a couple times. So for the one that is always going to happen near the end of the first year I make sure I reload a lot until I get a good score.

If you do choose to go the points route, throw your lowest rated breaking ball, like a level 1 CHG or Curve. You gain extra points because it's a breaking ball and it doesn't move too far off the marker.

That;s what I try to do, but when it gets crazy towards the end(the very small box that moves very fast), I just hope for the best.

That was the problem, I focused on my pitches first. When the scout came around my breaking pitches were CCHG 5 CB 5 SC 4 I only got 1 point for a fastball so I had to go with the breaking stuff.

I do the pitching test. Marvin isn't the greatest hitter in the world, and it's even easier with the Psychic Goggles.

The batting test, however...Sittch isn't exactly the easiest pitcher, even his normal version.

You, a mjor thing that's different is controlling where you pitch the ball now. I find it much easier to hit the targets in this one, just don't mash A b/c that increases the ferocity at which you throw the ball, and with a breaking pitch, you will more than likely miss it. But I prefer the challeneg considering your rating goes up faster if you strike someone out instead of just hitting your target.

so funny. I usually get about 28 points when i do my pitching test.
