I know this topic has been done again and again, but I wanted to throw something out there and didn't want to just stick it into another topic as a reply.

Last time I went through Sittch's ninja training, I went slowly, hitting the A button about once a second, and I ended up actually getting about half the stars. I just wanted to see if anyone else had ever tried this and if it had worked as well as it did for me.

I would feel like I was cheating myself (and Siitch) if I didn't cramp up or sprain a finger during the water spider exercise.

I've tried, but my timing must have been wrong because I didn't get any right. So I switched back to the painful way.

Thanks to Sittch, I hate water spiders.

Is there any benefit to getting a significant amount over 30? Or is it just a pass or fail type thing?

More stars = more experience points. A good chuck of them if you get on a roll, but not enough to reset more than once, maybe twice unless you want to have Tommy John surgery on your index finger.

Has anyone tried to compile a chart detailing how many points per star you get? This seems like it would be worth putting some effort into.

If I've got some free time tomorrow I could look into it.

What I found out:

30 stars - +3 Energy,+16 Strength, +32 Technique, -30 Vitality
35 stars - +3 Energy, +18 Strength, +36 Technique, -30 Vitality

Also, if you do really bad, (I think 15 or less) motivation decreases by one.

So 30 and 35 are the only two number where the points increase? Or those were just the two results you got?

Sorry, but I was completely incapable of getting any more than 35, and either 32 or 33 stars is +3, +17, +34, -30. I figured since it was such a small difference it wasn't worth finding 31-34.

Getting over 35 is pretty tough. My record is 42, and I've no idea what happened that round. Had a stretch of 8 blue stars in a row. Absolutely crazy.

I'll see if I can figure out how to make us a nifty table on the Wiki to record our data this week.

I guess we could also figure out what happens when you get less than 30, because that probably happens to people a lot.
