I know this question is asked about 100 times, but how do I make a good success player to use in my life? I was thinking about editing a player to what I wanted, but thats too easy. I am making a catcher if that helps. I'm focused more on hitting, and not so much on fielding. I want him to be a power hitter. I already have a good catcher, but I want this guy to have my name, but I keep trying and my best is about D contact, and C power, with E's in all of the fielding and speed. So, do you guys have any tips? I don't save or reload, so I don't want tips if it involves that.

If you want him to become a power hitter, then go to the boost abilities screen and do power whenever possible. With that, I got a B power player with the Power Hitter special ability.

When I want to make a power hitter, I focus on power, until I get what I want as a stat for it. Then I work on the rest. (I make sure to make everything else at least an F though).

I do this with whatever stat, and usually come out with good players. :D

I've always wanted to do My Life, but all the players they create suck, I don't wanna use a MLB player or an edited one, and my Success Mode players I just don't like.

QUESTION
What team has REALLY good pitching, but REALLY bad offense, other than the Giants, I use them too much. I want to play for a team like that, and become their best offensive player.

I usually focus on getting Contact and Run Spd done first, with very occasional POW boosts, so that it's easier for the player to bat and get high eval. After I've got those where I want them, I do the rest.
Also, I buy two items to help me: Prince's Necklace and Psychic Goggles. They work.

Yes, always buy the Prince's Necklace, and the Psychic Goggles! They are very important and helpful!

I get those two anyway. You do contact first even if you are trying to make a power hitter? I do fine raising eval. I need a Goodjob too in order to make my guy successful. REDSFAN, this is at you. If I don't sign the form, do I still get the operation??

Depends on how much patience you're willing to exert. Making an excellent player isn't that hard, but it will take some time. There's a few small tricks that you can use to get extra turns in success mode like maxing out your energy and always using carryover chocolate (which lasts 4 weeks). The big arc to do as a hitter is Patty's which will reward you Intimidator along with some other benefits. It takes a lot of time, but if you're doing everything you can to max your time, you'll have plenty of other time for other stats and traits. You should also take advantage of the steakhouse arc/work since it adds to your power totals straight up (along with making money). The higher your power gets, the more it will yield.

Making a catcher has always been the easiest way for me to make a team in MyLife mode unless you're playing for one of the few teams that have an elite catcher already (Braves, Twins, come to mind). Keep in mind that in MyLife mode power is almost impossible to boost up compared to the other stats.

It's not hard to get good stats without a successful Goodjob. In fact, I've rarely ever gotten the doctor. I also never get the necklace or psychic goggles (I get the goggles on pitcher though). I feel like the goggles distracts me when I'm hitting.

How do I max out energy, and what does carryover chocolate do? I'm pretty noobish to Success.

Carryover points and energy add up to give you more actions each week. There's math involved and I don't pretend to understand it, but I know how it works. Instead of getting one action a week you can get 2-3 which adds up a ton as time goes on. Use your first chocolate the 2nd week of April and keep on that sort of schedule. To get more energy you can do a lot of non baseball activities. Pursuing a girlfriend, working at Ducks, different shops in town, the free time in the park. You can get a full energy bar by the end of season one and combined with carryover chocolate you'll have extra turns to balance the time you spent away from baseball.

I usually don't practice much, if at all, during the first season. Just make sure you perform well in games so you get 10+ scout points. You can pick up good traits from Sittch early on to help you get a decent showing in the first few games. Aim for 8+ in the first game or two, find a gambler's ring, boost your power traits (and power hitter) and from then on you should have no problems with evaluation.

Ahhhhhh so much info! Where do I get a gamblers ring, what does it do, and do I get anything, other than a glove, from Siitches arc?

I don't save and reload, and I dont wanna max out a guy, I could just edit a guy if I wanted that, and Ive done it before too.

You would have to perfect this list to get a maxed out guy. Believe me, I had a genius and used this guide and I didn't even get maxed out.
