I am making an arrange team with all my players going through Success Mode first. The only problem is I CANT MAKE A FIELDER!!! I always fail before I even get to triple A. I can make my pitchers fine, but I cant get fielders. (I'm not using other peoples players). One other question. Isn't it usually coach eval you have to get up to become a starter? The last pitcher I had I failed because I had to get the managers eval up, and it didn't go up once. HELP!

Oh, that was me about a month-and-a-half ago.

Well, you need to train when the coach is there. It's also a good idea to train on the fourth week of every month, so your stats get a super-boost. Another idea is, if you have enough cash, buy the Prince's Necklace. That will raise the scout's eval.

Speaking of eval, you have to raise the coach's eval to be a starter, and scout's is to move to AAA/win the game.

Also, during the offseason, buy a shiny fragrance and 1 or 2 carryover chocolates. However, don't use them until you officialy join the team in February. You can't boost the coach's eval until then. Make sure to choose the practice with the coach's symbol if you really need to boost eval. You may also want to s/l a little during the games just to make sure you do well enough to boost eval and gain points at the same time.

I have a level 5 knucleballer in triple A and I dont know how to increase the manager eval to make a starter, so he can increase the scout eval because he's a starter, so I can beat the game.

There are a number of guides available in the forums. Once you have the basic formula down, you can make anyone ranging from Joe McScrub to Babe Ruth on steroids.

I dont save and reload though. I only do after I get into AAA, and become a AAA starter.

That's cool, but there is still a general recipe for success. Early on, hammer away at Free Time Events and eat Carryover Chocolates to gain more turns per week - those extra turns really add up. Always be aware of key dates on the schedule and practice only when necessary, preferably all right before the drop dead date for becoming a starter in Year 2, and with just enough points to satisfy the coach. That's about it. Free Time early. Practice late. More Free Time Events early in the game = More Practices later on. "Maximum efficiency" should be your mantra.

One conflict I have there: I usually prefer to catch up on free time events while the coaches are on break, because that's 8-10 turns (depending on your energy) that you have to date Patty/train with Sittch/whatever. Meanwhile, you won't lose anything in practice because there isn't anyone to watch you and give you that eval.

Plus, you can usually get most of your eval from games anyways.

Being a fielder is pure evil in this game...Pitching is much easier than hitting. I'd suggest getting the prince's necklace so your eval with the scout will be higher. And also practice on the fourth week of each month, it may help(I've looked on the fourth week of the month and sometimes there is no coach there.)

Save and Load!

Steakhouse is good. If you want a hard core maxed out player, you must S/L for all events. Especially Jaw he gives you money and surprise bag and then you S/L for abilities. A decent player takes 4 hours max (A-Rod, David Wright, Pujols). Steakhouse is really good. Sittch all these extra training is better than most trainings and it gives you extra energy too. You should skip all your energy till week 4 where there is extra boost and you get 3 times the dose instead of the regular 1.

Lastly, Save and Load!
