Alright, let's explain what I'm doing. I'm making a team of all Success Mode players called the Round Rock Reapers. Their owner, GM, and interim manager Benny Leo is looking for diamonds in the rough, looking for talent anywhere he can find it. He has special connections with AAA's GoldenApples. In this log, I'm going to document my progress as I create Success Mode players as they try to become Round Rock Reapers.

Oh, and there's a minor thing...if the Reapers field a big enough team, they will be accepted into the MLB. Oh, boy!

Pitching Prospects FalkenBorg, Benny Join Tryouts

ROUND ROCK-Owner/GM Benny Leo has invited knuckleballing starter Arthur FalkenBorg and lights-out closer BennyBaseball to team tryouts. Both prospects came from AAA's GoldenApples. Arthur FalkenBorg's knuckleball, while not the best of all-time, made hitters look ridiculous in the minors, and BennyBaseball impressed scouts with his "A+" slider and mastery of the drop curveball and vertical slider.

Reapers Sign Girardi, Fox

ROUND ROCK-The Round Rock Reapers have signed Joe Girardi as their manager and Rudy Fox as their scout. Joe Girardi caught a perfect game in 1998 as a member of the New York Yankees, and Rudy Fox is the scout for AAA's Golden Apples and their AA affiliate, the GreenApples.

The Rudy Report
by Rudy Fox

You thought I was going to stay under the radar, eh? Memories of me firing your created players coming back to you? Well, I'm a part of this train now, and I'm ridin' it 'til the wheels fall off.

My name is Rudy Fox. I'm the new scout, but you may know me as the scout for the GreenApples and GoldenApples. But enough about me. Let me tell you what I think of the new guys.

First, we have this kid named Arthur FalkenBorg. Not exactly the nicest guy in the world, but then again, neither is Nolan Ryan. He throws a knuckleball. That's ALL I've heard about this kid. Phil Niekro, Tim Wakefield, they all have nothin' on FalkenBorg's knuckleball. Or so I hear. But let me tell you what, he also throws a pretty good sinker, and he knows how to use it. When I watch this guy in AAA, when the batter thought knuckler, he went sinker. They thought sinker, he went fastball. None of them could figure this guy out. I want to see how he does against big-leaguers before I'm totally convinced, but this kid's got some potential. The knuckleball ain't half-bad, either.

Now, here comes this guy named Benny Baseball. He never uses his real name, which sort of creeps me out. But if he's any good of the closer he was in AAA, he's got a great career ahead of him. He throws a slider that he calls the A+ (Named it after his knowledge, he tells me) that breaks...something like halfway across the plate. And that's his wost pitch, or so I hear. Ha! So I tell him to go heater. He rears back in a windup similar to Billy Wagner's and lets loose. "89," I tell him. The GoldenApples weren't known for producing fireballers...but I sure hope the batters get confused, waiting for him to hit 95 mph. So then he shows me his v-slider. He could work on a little more spin on it, but it's pretty good. So finally he gives me a curve, or some kind of a drop curve, because it had a decent tail on the end of it. I think that could develop into an out pitch.

Well, that's all I have to say for now. Make sure to pick up the next edition of The Rudy Report.

Fox is the talent scout for MLB's Round Rock Reapers, AAA's Little Rock Plague and GoldenApples, and AA's GreenApples. He also works for the Powerful University Tulips.

Dan-O To Rock With Reapers

ROUND ROCK—Benny Leo and Rudy Fox have invited Danny Osoria, best known by his rapper persona "Dan-O," to Reapers training camp. He is primarily a designated hitter with above-average power and decent run speed, but if his less-than-stellar fielding skills must be used in a National League ballpark, he can play first base. In a press confrence to announce the addition, Fox stated that the likelihood of being an AL team in the majors "adds to the value" of the potential designated hitter.

I'm looking for realistic talent. If you have some decent players, tell me their passwords and/or wiki link and I'll see what I can do. I want a lot of my own people on the team, but I'll take some of yours.

You can view the link in my signature (Charlotte Chargers) for a whole team of created players (for Wii), around major-league level skills.

There's a AAA section, too - those guys have typically 1 or 2 skills only. Owen Burke, Joakim Mercado, etc.

Leo, Fox To Test Prospects From Chargers

ROUND ROCK-Benny Leo and Rudy Fox have moved out of the GoldenApples organization to pair with the Charlotte Chargers, as many of the players will be considered for the Round Rock Reapers. Prospects include fireballing ace James Calloway and outfielder Dante Warner, two leaders who would make the Reapers a powerful force all by themselves.

Prospects from Dish Net Academy Invited To Camp

ROUND ROCK-Marvin (2) and User:dishnetkid are just two of the prospects from Dish Net Academy to try out for the already powerful Round Rock Reapers. If all of the players currently in camp sign on to the Round Rock team, they are expected to do very well.

BREAKING: Bacon "Loving" Future, Signs With Reapers

ROUND ROCK-Marc Bacon, who stated in a press conference that he was "loving my future, loving the direction the team is going," has officially signed a one-year deal with the Round Rock Reapers for an undisclosed amount of money. Bacon, a second baseman who can get on base and score runs, was reportedly ready to make the move after meeting emotional leaders such as Dante Warner. "You know he's going to contribute," owner Benny Leo explained. "He is going to give us a run scorer at the top of the lineup." Manager Joe Girardi was also optimistic, saying that "[Bacon] is that perfect leadoff or second hitter, that will get on base and make pitchers pay on the basepaths."
