People talk about saving and reloading the game. Does this affect your player's skills? And how?
Thanks,

A lot of things in success mode is random, and to get the most out of it, it takes reloading (not saving) to try to get something better to happen that didn't happen the previous time.

by saving and reloading, you ensure yourself a good result (or at least one you're content with), and there fore gives your players better stats.
this combined with the gambler's ring is what allows guys like me and Deathjohnson to make such good players.

Yeah, I have. I have about 4 completed players. I've just never saved and reloaded that much

Really? I came up with the idea to reload for better stats weeks before I found this site, it was on my first 07 character. It's even more useful in 08 because of the training cards and the fact it's nearly impossible to finish a pitcher without it.

OK thanks, I just really was never sure. I only have "below average players, but I'm trying to get good ones for my arrange team. My created players would be my pich hitters, pinch runners, defensive subs, ect.. But I'm getting player's passwords from the Wiki for my team.

So by reloading you mean saving before the event, then after that, exiting without saving to get something better?

Oh also in certain random events there are abilities that are rare to get and can't be obtained by buying, like Shuuto Spin, which is supposed to be a bad ability but it makes the fastball less predictable, for you and the opponent.

Yeah, sometimes it's better to avoid certain events, but other times some bad events lead to a better story arc. You can check out the highly incomplete wiki and it might give an example.

Yeah, and then after you get the result you want you save.

If you want to gamble for an ability, you save beforehand. If it fails, you reload. If it works you save.

If you get hurt, you reload.

If you have bad cards, you reload.

Get it?

I only reload if I get injured. I don't really like all the time it takes to s/l but ti will turnout good players. I've had some decent players without s/l though so it is a question of how much time you want to put into it.
