I've had the game for a year and I've only completed one player... and he's gosh-awful. I want to be able to make good players whenever I want but I don't want to be too confused while I do so. If you guys can give me THE most babied, watered-down, simplified version of how to play Success Mode to the best of it's ability, it would be much appreciated. |

There's a great guide that I go by made by Eric Davis for making maxed out fielders, and it works for me every time. http://mlbppworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1904&hilit=Strategy+Guide I don't follow that guide to the wire, but I generally do most of what's in that guide. |

Also, the two main things you need for sucess mode are the Shiny Fragrance and the Psychic Goggles. |

well if you dont want to do the arcs then i guess this would do it batters: year 1- focus only on TRJ, bat control, and power, when TRJ is full move on to next abillty or grab special ones year 2- focus on the remaining abillties and special ones to games- be flawless s/L often my guy: trj 4, control 15, power 193, run speed 12, arm 10, fielding 8, e res 14, using this method. pitchers: year 1- focus on top speed, control, and stamina, ever now and then increase a breaking ball year 2- focus on breaking ball and special abillties but you still want to increase top speed and control store- buy psycic goggles trust me...(not the spelling ![]() games- be flawless, pitch the corners s/L often never did it my self but it works the same way ^ |

What does Shiny Fragrance do? And I only use Psychic Goggles for pitchers. I don't need 'em for hitters. And if you're struggling to get evaluation points, I suggest getting the Prince's Necklace. |

The shiny fragrance helps you to get more coach and scout points. |

Okay, here's a guide for a GOOD player, but not maxed Please note that things that are coded are thing's to follow for pitcher's as well For hitters: Raise contact and trajectory first, make sure by the time you're at your first game that you have at least 2 trajectory Frank is very useful, if you go the lookout place and he's there then you can either play catch, work on upper body and lower Catch has a small chance of getting you Throwing 4 but Upper Body gives you good stength and technique points while Lower Body gives you Speed and Strength points. Code: Once you talk to Bison, make sure to press no thanks and he'll give you a discount thing at his shop, if you have 300$ then buy the prince's necklace and then it's alot easier to get scout/coach eval Also, get rid of the rookie thing you have in your bag at the beggining, you won't be able to control your baserunning and other player's baserunning which could lower your double and RBI count which means less eval Code: For the hot dog place, the first two times you get a hot dog and then you can work there, after that you but hot dog's whenever you want which is a VERY cheap way to restore vitality and then you'll be able to buy more stuff. And if your energy is all the way down then go to a food shop and bu the chinese combo. Code: If you're not there yet with Scout eval and you've completed the champion ship game, then buy a few Shiny Fragrances at the shop, use them, and then try to do practice's that the coach's are a part of. And don't worry because you can get 5 scout points for the Scout challenge Quote: Once you've made it to AAA, then you won't get coach eval chances for practices until you meet Terry and become a part of the team So in that time do Sittch stuff which can help with Technique points and other things, and AT LEAST do the sittch arc to the day with the glove in the water. This is important because he'll ask if you dropped a glove and say neither and he'll give you a glove and if you don't like the glove then you can sell it later. Make sure to go to equitment and put it on Usually the steak lady comes at some point so if she's there, then go to her just about as much as you can because it's a great way to get your power up and it'll get you alot of money Code: Once Terry comes and you haven't gotten enough coach eval then get some shiny fragrances and keep on practicing in the practice's with the coach's eval until you get it to the point where you're a starter For Pitchers: Pretty much the same things for some things Make sure to have at least D stamina and one breaking ball when you go to the first game For Frank, go visit him a few times but this time upper body gives you a good amount of breaking ball and strength points and lower body gives you strength/technique This'll take some time but after awhile Sittch will give you alot of breakingball/technique points and he'll give you an origanal pitch Also, make sure to get rid of the rookie charm before the final game(after beating Gil's galaxy sharks) The Steak lady gives you stamina points this time which can easily help you get A stamina for starters Also, don't make your players with a bunch of breaking balls every time because then they'll only be level 1's, 2's and 3's rarely Focusing on 2 or 3 pitches is ideal Well that's all I can think of for now, hope it helps |

For Pitchers: If you have an equipped glove or a glove that Sittch gave to you, and have at least $600 at the final screen, you can get a Glove wax, which can increase your Top Speed by 1 or 2 points (See Toby Baker to see how that can work out for you in the long run!) |

Mahahaha I think I solved the mystery for Sittch. I completed the 1st level on like 2nd or 3rd try. If there is a pattern like C,L,R,C,C,R,R,R,R,L this is a right one. |
