I'm getting a little frustrated here. I met Jaw the supposedly earliest you could meet him, when I met Bison, but I didn't go see him right away. Instead, I did Sittch's ninja training the next week, and now he's never at the Street. Did I do something wrong here?

Yeah, you have to see him (in town [street]) the week DIRECTLY after you see him.

Dangit, so I've blown it with this guy?

That sucks, because I'm going by Eric's plan where you get good sense and the gambler's ring before you boost abilities, but they both happened on the same week.

Besides getting a surprise bag with patty for X-Mas, I don't know any other way to get one other than at the final screen.

I never date, so the only way I get surprise bag's is when I find the dog working for Jaw, but that's the ONLY job you can get a surprise bag. I have to exit and reload if he ever offers me the find lost child, find ring, exterminate rats, or find dog as quickly as possible jobs.

You can get a Surprise Bag from the Steak lady. In the Mountains during the Legendary Beef arc, choose "Open Eyes" and then "Just Double." You'll get a Surprise Bag probably 50% of the time. Just S/L until you do.

Oh yeah...
But you have to get pretty far in the steakhouse arc (not too much of a problem with S/L)
