I can't believe this. I've tried over 75 times, and every single player I've created has had awful starting stats. 75% of the time, every stat is G except 45-55 power (F). Contact is always 1 (G) every single player. Occasionally base-running/fielding/arm/error resistance is F. the best guy I had had 1 (G) contact, 60 power (F), Base Running G, Arm F, Fielding F, Error Resistance F. This can't simply be bad luck. That would be impossible. I've done great in Success Mode so far and made several near maxed players. Is this some sort of handicap? Because I haven't heard of any other. Is there anything I can do? |

That's about what my starting stats are and I've had about 160 different starting stat sets. |

well i think ure wrong.....it IS bad luck (and the programming) Genius'es arent supposed to come up once every ten, more like once per million, maybe (ive never had one) and Standard+ characters are semi-rare (i think ive had 3) im the unlukiest person in the world, PowerPros and in real life ![]() ![]() |

No, I don't think so. I used to usually get bad sense players, not as bad as they can possibly be everytime. I usually get worst case all Es in every 3 players. I can often get a d in there. Now I'd be happy for all Fs. This can't be normal, I never had players like this before. |

Really? I'm trying to max another guy, this time compleatly. I just need all Es to do that, but all Gs? No way, it's practically impossible. |

me either....and come to think of it i recieved a D as a starting stat on my most recent player (failure) (see "Possible Ace" in 2008 Success mode forums, btw i posted the final update on him) for Arm Strength.....; have you ever had all F's? no g's? |

I almost always get all Gs except F power. Sometimes another F or two may sneak in as well. |

I spent some time re-rolling for a Genius the last couple of nights (with no luck. Shocking!) Going off of memory: TRJ is almost always 1. It will be 2 if the player has Pr Sense. Occasionally, Insomnia or Lazy by itself or having one or both of those combined with Gd Sense can result in a starting TRJ of 2. CON is usually 1, but it can sometimes be 2 even if the player has no inherent abilities. It will be 3 or 4 if the player has Pr Sense. PWR ranges between 30 and 50 (maybe higher/lower) for players with no inherent abilities. It can range between approximately 60 and 70 if the player has Pr Sense. I am not sure how Insomnia or Lazy alone or combined with Gd Sense affects the starting PWR. SPD usually ranges between 3 and 4 for a player with no inherent abilities, but a 2 or a 5 is not uncommon. However, a normal player who starts with 5 will have ARM, FLD and ERES of 2 or 3, rarely 4. A player with Pr Sense will have a starting SPD of 4, 5 or 6. ARM, FLD and ERES belong in the same category, more or less. It’s more common for the starting ERES to be higher than ARM, but overall, a player with no inherent abilities will usually start with a 2 or 3 in these categories. If the player starts with a 4, it will usually be ERES, maybe FLD, but it can result in the player having a starting SPD of 3. A player with Pr Sense will typically have 4’s and 5’s in these three categories and Insomnia or Lazy by itself or having one or both of those combined with Gd Sense can result in higher than normal starting stats in one or two of these categories. Veering slightly off topic, here are three examples of Pr Sense hitters and their starting stats: L-L-R = Bats 2-2-2 = TRJ 3-4-3 = CON 64-64-70 = PWR 4-4-6 = SPD 4-5-5 = ARM 4-5-5 = FLD 5-5-4 = ERES Like pitchers, I think left-handed hitters get the shaft when it comes to Pr Sense starting stats. Not sure about switch-hitters. |

Poor sense generally turn out better, I find. I got my guy to all Es, but I've already played 3 games. It's not looking good (and it's my last batter, maybe last pitcher, don't remember). |

Thanks for the help by the way, I usually use switch and lefties, that may be why. I don't think my starters were as good as I described, I don't really remember. This guy was kind of bad because I'm out of practice, it's been about 3 months. Still, he turned out so-so, he'll probably be my 9th or 8th hitter (I have a actual MLB average player in My Life that I rolled to get. I didn't want to make another player). Here are my guys stats. B contact, B Power, B Run Speed, C Arm Strength, C fielding, C error resistance. His abilities stink, only Clutch 4, Hot Hitter, and fastball hitter. If he had decent abilities, he'd be a good player. What's so amazing for me though is that I improved him that much at the end. I made a mad dash going from C- contact, C- (literally just ) power, D Run Speed, C arm strength, E+ Fielding, and D Error Resistance with 2 months left. I only had clutch hitting 4. Now, I believe, I'm done with my team! I may want to stregthen my bullpen, but I'll probably sign a free agent instead. It's taken forever, but I finally finished! I'll upload them all soon, but I don't have time to finish my story haha (great day for sports haha, Yanks are in first finally, my team is finished, Lakers won.) |
