in other words, in success mode (either 2007 or 2008) what was the best starting stats you got for your player (no gameshark ones please)

i just started a success mode thing and after about 4 tries where the player started with a 74 mph fastball, G control and F stamina and no breaking balls, this guy got a 79 mph fastball, D control (120), E stamina (45  ) and a slider (level 1)
(he's a starter by the way)

so whats the best your stats have ever been at from the start in success mode

(sorry if a thread like this was already created, lazyness and being impatient takes its toll :x )

Well, you can get much higher than average with a genius. I don't know their exact abilities, but I've had two or three geniuses before.

Geniuses are defined as this from the Wiki:

Quote:
High starting stats with Good Sense. Successfully saved player will be indicated as a "Genius" (Rather than the standard "Normal") on the blue plate next to the name on the player view screen. The "Genius" plate will not appear before the character is finished.

Fielders: Similar to the high Poor Sense starting stats, except with Good Sense and no negative traits.
Pitchers: Over 80mph in velocity, E~F in Control, D~E in Stamina, a Lv2 AND Lv1 breaking ball plus Good Sense and no negative traits. Breaking ball types are restricted to Basic Pitches.

I got an insane regular start guy:
98 CTRL
D STAM
TOP SPD 80 (maybe 81)
he came with a sinking fastball too.

i've got 1 genius before, i had randomly picked a name ( the + button at the name choice) got joey devine, and i dont remember what the starting stats were, but it ended up where he had 88 mph fastball, B stamina and B control, and a level 7 curve and level 1 change up, and the part that sucks is that he always gets an ERA over 5 during the season
