Does anyone have a rising slider that actually rises. All the pitchers that I downloaded with rising sliders don't actually rise and it is starting to annoy me. ![]() |

Nope, I've even made a player with a rising slider myself (Terminator; see signature) and it doesn't rise at all. I have about 3 pitchers with "rising" sliders. Kind of a misnomer, eh? I don't think any "rising" pitches actually rise. ![]() |

Wish that option actually made it rise... |

When you really think about it, a "rising" pitch would be pretty difficult in baseball, wouldn't it? And even if you managed to do it, it would be pretty easy to recognize, wouldn't it? They are actually made use of more so in softball, where they are much more effective. |

Any type of rising pitch, as mentioned before, seems almost impossible unless you were throwing submarine, but in this game, breaking pitches are not unique to the motion or the angle, so it's really nothing to try and get. Naturally, a submarine pitcher has crazy movement, but in the game, it's the same as an overhand pitcher. Anyways, the term "Rise" is used as more hang time, and I think it's best used for pitches that break downward, most effectively, the fork type pitch. With more Rise, it hangs a bit more before breaking, but that's it, it's not sharper or harder, just hangs a bit more. |

Well since Submariner's pitches movement aren't any different I would assume that this doesn't work either. |
