Well, I started a new guy, "Gimmed Acash" as a 2nd baseman. Took forever for Jaw to show up (december year 1) and I got the dog and the surprise bag. I have tried 37 times of S/L to get the GR and no luck at all. I have gotten 4 SoH, 3 SoD, and 1 SoP, several discount coupons and waxes and even a couple of towels, but still no ring.

Can you get the ring from the first surprise bag? Are there any requirements? (I have almost no vitality, does that affect it?) How many times have you guys S/L to get your ring?

Yes, you can get it from the first surprise bag, and there are not any requirements. Sometimes I get it within 10 tries and sometimes it takes me 50.

You can also get one from Patty if you get the date with her for Christmas and give her a teddy bear (you are probably too late for this though).

I don't know why, but I always seem to get it once I get less frustrated and just got off on a tantred in my mind and thinking about something else. I never get it when I'm focused. This happened 3 times, all 3 when I didn't think about the ring at all. I once got it (when I already had 1, and I was too tired to reload for a book so I took that and sold it. It let me max my fielding). You can also get it from dating patty and giving her a teddy bear on christmas (guranteed).

If you get it in under 100 tries, you're lucky. You can also get it from Patty if you give the right thing.

I must be REALLY lucky then, because I've never reached triple digits.

Me nither. I have had some that drag out for what seemed like 100+ attempts, but I doubt they were. I have been lucky to grab one on the 2nd try and another on the 4th.

My record was 2 and my worst was 150+ (I had a rough idea, it took me 2 hours and I did about 1.5 a minute. I'm clear under-estimating as if this were exactly true, I'd have 180).

My best luck was 1st try. 8)

Worst I can't remember but it was excruciating. I seem to have better luck in 2008, but maybe that's because I care less about getting it since there's a guaranteed route. (via Patty)

wow..
I got 2 surprise bags from Jaw...
wanted to get something like secrect of fielding or hitting...
Instead on THE very second try.. .2 gambler's ring at the SAME time....
I keep them instead of S/L...
How many money can I make if I sell those two rings at the final screen???
cause I already had 4 gambler' tickets...
