Ok, - here is where you post how to get various blue abilities. It seems harder this game - as I haven't been able to find any items that give blues yet.

The only blue I got from an event so far -

Table Setter Ability - Got it in Year 2, Week 2 of April. Went to the Hot dog Store. This was after Black Dog came around, and they asked me to try the Organic Dog. I did, and gained Table Setter ability. I have worked for the Hot Dog shop before - so I'm assuming you have to push that 'story arc' a little for them to get the organic dog. The organic dog is a great value, fyi, it restores like 50 stamina for $5.

thanks for the info. I wish I would have paid more attention but I picked up "hot hitter" because I distracted a dog from attacking a gal.
I also got "bunt ability" for helping the second time with the pitching machine/box

Alright, since Kupo! already started on blues, I'll merge them all together, since we know from previous years that the same event can get different abilities based on your position, luck, or some other indicator.

Please be as descriptive as you can about when, where, and how you obtained the ability. For example, if you gained "Sparkplug" from an event that included your girlfriend, you should mention how well you were doing with her.

This isnt an ability but you can get an easy surprise bag by meeting with Jaw, looking for the dog on the right (at least so far right has been 100%) and youll meet the girl who last her dog and you get the bag.

I got Vs. LH 4 just by playing well in a AA game. Didn't have any kind of equipment or anything.

I got the surprise bag this way also. It gives 250$ as well.

The very first time I found sittch, he did that ninja thing where you have to guess which one it is. Well, I guessed right about ten times in a row and finally I failed because it was just ridiculous. Anyway, I got HOT HITTER AND B2B HITTER both by doing this.

I got GOOD MORALE by helping Tom with his carpentry project.

I got hot hitter in the first year from doing the ninja-guess-which-one-I-am thing at the lake with Stittch too, but I quit after about 5 times because I didn't know what good it was doing until afterwards. I wonder what happens if you just keep going?

like I said, it got so fast that nobody could possibly keep an eye on it. It was just a total guess at that point. Two blue abilities is pretty good though.

I got power hitter when strength training, it was at lvl 9

also got durability from the cave event w/ marvin

I got power hitter and hot hitter from playing well in games. Have yet to get one from a random event.

I got firstball hitter in a game. I was 3-3 and all my hits were the firstball, so that may have contributed

I got POWER HITTER by finishing the food tasting job Re's.

I got CONTACT HITTER by finishing the Ninja Re's.

Abilities seem way easier to get this year.

Only ever happened once, but I got Good Pickoff from the first ninja minigame with Sittch.

I got recovery 4 going to the lake with Sittch with low vitality and the storyline finished.
