Post subject:  Tips on making pitchers?

Anyone got tips on making good pitchers? I've got all these great strategies for making fielders, and I cannot make a pitcher as good as my last two fielders (Gummy and Gunther, check 'em out if you haven't already  ). My main thing is.... how do you get top speed up to high 90's or low 100's?

Get a lot of money. If you have around 90mph at the end and about 5600 bucks, sell your un-needed items (DO NOT SELL GLOVE), use discount coupon then buy a bunch of waxes for the gloves, Use your waxes and you will be up around 100-105 Work on boost stats year 1, Abilities and Pitches year 2.

I use bat waxes for fielders all the time to boost power. In fact, I did that with my most recent player Gunther Henderson. At the end of the game (after the final game), his power was about 170 and I thought there was no way to boost it. I used my discount coupon which I always save until the end, and I bought 4 bat waxes to boost his power to 183.

Another thing. How do you get mentality points? Towards the end of the game, I'm always gambling to boost control.

Tips:
only practice when the coach is there.
that way you can pursue sittch's, lucy's or patty's arcs.
buy a prince's necklace as soon as you can.
S/L before the final game.

I'd suggest that you start with a closer before you try a starter. That way you don't have to worry about stamina and still get a feel. Getting a gamblers ring is key to have a good pitcher (much more so then for a fielder) as you can then easily get abilities. If you do make a starter, go to the Steak House once you get C/B stamina as it gets much harder to raise at this point. If you finish her arc or the min-terry arc, then you not only get the usual 4 a turn but a 13+ stamina at the end.

wow.
both my guys are closers too, with D or C stamina.
Look how my gyroballer turned out, barely any S/Ling (Fernandez Hernandez).
If you S/L a lot, then you can make an insane guy.

Get Jaw as soon as possible so that you can get Surprise Bags for SoP and Money for Glove Waxes. I got him the same time as I got Bison. I think Year 1: March, Week 1.

I S/R for him. Took about 3 tries so I don't think he's rare.

Do Seakhouse RE for Stamina. After a few visits you'll get +5 Stamina and at the end when you get to try that Super Steak it gives you +25 Stamina

If you plan to get gyroball and/or do frank's arc, trigger those events at the streets first before getting Jaw because you can't trigger them if you have Jaw.

You can still get gyroball even if you have jaw......

Just chose to go into town instead of going to jaws place......

Nope, if you have the required fullfillments then just go into town and it's possible.

I always save before going into town because if Ben isn't there then I do something else that week and then try again next week.
