Am I doing something wrong, or is it just that unlikely to get a successful Dr. Goodjob operation?

Nope, its just that unlikely mate, sorry. I've only gotten him twice and chose make me stronger once (and it worked!). The other one had poor sense and I didn't want to take a chance at wrecking him so I chose help me with my weaknesses.
Edit: Now its two out of two with strength! My guy is incredible now with soon to be maxed speed, great control, every ability, and a good amount of breaking balls. My new closer is way better then my original one. Unfourtnetly this was on top of an injury which reduced my top speed by 2 so I didn't gain much in top speed but other then that it was great.

I've gotten him a lot, but I always get a failed operation!
