energy=more carryover points more carryover points=more turns in 1 week progress is use if theres nothing useful to do in a week, so you go to the next to do 2 or 3 things then, or to get 2/3 practices for week 4 for improved practices. |

typically, people on this forum are more concerned with snagging abilities from girls/coaches/friends/enemies than simply training up stats (which can be trained easier in MLB Life or Season mode vs. abilities). Training on the 4th week of the month is Reinforcement week, and you get a small boost in practices. It also boosts scout eval, which is vital to you getting promoted into AAA and the majors. You'll theoretically want a full 3 turns to spend on practice in week 4, but you don't want to waste energy either... so it's a gamble. |

plus you can get just as much xp as training through the pursuit of the story arcs and special abilities. i picked more breaking ball up off sittch at the lake post-arc then in any practice i ran for the coach. the only times i use practice is when i need coach eval. this is usually oct/nov and feb/mar to make sure im playing in every game of AAA. |

I think 50/50 (workout/other) is a good guideline to use. I haven't seen anyone mention this so here's a little tip... (might be obvious) You can progress the first two days and have three turns on the third day.(You don't lose any turns) The benefits of doing this are that the coach will be there sometimes on the third day.(you might have to reload) Therefore, you can workout with the coach there for the first three days, giving you a good head start on making the team. He will never be there on the first two days. |
