Anyone ever caught the thief that appears in the news or steals the doctor's purse?

I finally caught up to him once by going South when he was East. I don't know if this always works yet. I missed catching him cause the ball I threw missed :grumble: :grumble.

Ran into him again going South after he went East. Still missed with the ball. Thief is still at large.

Thief went West, I went North. Beaned him in the head when he was in the Restaurant area. 38 weeks after the thief first went on the prowl: $75 reward.

These strategies continue to work for the thief so far. I'll post the full set once I have it down.

Thief: South, I went East. Thief apprehended. 10 weeks, $900 reward.

I think for me, the thief went East, and I went South. I got him the third week, and I got about $1500. I'm not sure, it could have been the other way around (Thief going South, I went East).

I'm having to deal with him now but he stole the doctor's baseball glove. What do you get from the doc when you catch him? I need to catch him because this event has lowered my consistance down to 2.

after about 3 or 4 weeks, i got 2 abilities, pitching heart SoP,a powerin special, and some other from the doctor

Next time pull an experiment:

If you are told the Thief is North, go West.
If you are told the Thief is West, go North.
If you are told the Thief is East, go South.
If you are told the Thief is South, go East.

Every time I've been notified he was East or South, I went South and East respectively and ran into him. From what I've read here I assume the thief isn't very hard to find.

I also had south and went east and caught him, I think DS has this down. But I wonder if it ever changes?

Maybe it has to do with what you did the last week?

I have done this several times and Darkshade is right.

North goes with west and south goes with east.

This is for the thief on TV though.

Not 100% sure but I think for the baseball glove thief it is different.

South goes with west and north goes with east.

It really isn't that hard to find the thief, if you s/l a lot like I do. Just save after the thief appears, then reload until you get it right and catch the thief.

I'm making a table, but I'm missing the right answers for East and West with the glove thief (Marvin spots him) and North with the other thief (Sittch spots him).
