Post subject:  My Quest For A Genius (Or Close)
So the past few days I've been reloading success mode countless times to see if I got a good player. And then I read about how many people keep getting geniuses here and decided I want one. And I know the odds are like 1 in 7000 something but I still want one.

And one note: If you get a genius, don't rush through it to post it here. Try to actually get him to be good. If I get a genius, there's no way I'm finishing him the same day. It'll take probably over a week (I still have a genius in '07 I'm not done).

Keep track of how many reloads you need to do before you nail one.. I'd be curious to see what your odds turn out to be.

I tried to get genius for about an hour the other night, but no luck so I just started a new guy without it. It got tiresome to have to re-input the name over and over when re-rolling the player, so I finally just accepted with decent stats, but no advantages or disadvantage skills.

I would guess i probably re-rolled about 60-75 times in total, so the odds must be pretty low overall to get genius. I never even got any positive traits without negative ones too on any player i rolled, so finally settled for decent stats with no traits at all.

It would be nice to get, but its hardly needed to make a nearly perfect player, it likely makes making a superstud pitcher much quicker and easier, but for fielders, I can get all 15's with 255 power and most every skill already, so doubt genius would really help much aside from maxxing out stats a little faster (might be fun for the Sittch game).

That said...I still want a genius someday, but I'm not willing to hold back on making new players just to keep re-rolling for genius for hours on end.

I have 2 geniuses both pitchers one right other lefty. Yeah it takes a long time, i recommend you to not look for it purposely. The time I got the right hander I was looking for a normal good sense character. For the lefty, I was looking for a poor sense player.

I have yet to EVER run into something like that, and to be honest, I haven't even rolled a character with Good Sense since '07. But in my opinion, someone should post a topic where they list every possible Random Event where you can get a skill or a good item, like the event where Marvin thinks it's all a video game and what not. That'll be very helpful, because if I know that, I can make a beast, and my training won't really have to change, much I hope.

Needless to say but I'm saying it anyway. I will be taking breaks for real life and other modes. :)
