This may be known by everyone, but I didn't know this.

The waxes stack! I ended Success with a pitcher with 95MPH. I was able to purchase multiple waxes and use them and ended up with a 100MPH! I gather you can do the same with spikes wax, and bat wax.

So this means:

1. Save as much money as possible for the end
2. Have a discount ticket for the end
3. Sell everything that don't carry over (Psychic goggles, prince necklaces, focus stones, etc...)
4. Buy waxes
5. Use waxes
6. Look in awe at your new stats.

OR you can get the job from Jaw, get a buttload of Surprise Bags, and get Waxes that way, or get secrets of hitting/pitching/defense to get every possible ability

Yeah I did that on my pitcher. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't stack. But here's a shock. Sometimes they can give a bonus of 2 instead of one!

Yep, I use Jaw to get Secrets books. Easiest way to get abilities you can't purchase. Kind of a waste to S/L for waxes considering they're so cheap. If I ever max out on abilities (which I don't think is possible), I'd rather S/L until I get something expensive and sell it to buy more waxes or get a discount ticket if I don't already have one.

Hm, can you use the waxes BEFORE the last game so you can S/L and have the bonuses for the end? Oh my god, if that works, imagine the possibilities! Does anyone know if there's a limit?

You can use the waxes at any time during success mode.

Does the waxes cause the points needed to upgrade to be higher? If so, I'd rather wait til the end to use them. Also, once you use the waxes, they stay indefinitely? I always thought the waxes were temporary boosts.

Waxes effect stays on as long as your using the same equipment you applied it to. And it doesn't change the points needed, even if it did. Just unequip it during upgrades.

Good to know. I'd still rather do it at the end since you won't end up using multiple turns to go to the store and you have a chance of getting better equipment before using the waxes.

you can just S/L for the shop, and if it's not there go through the week doing whatever, and then try it again

I work for jaw, don't spend any money. S/L over and over until I get the gambler's ring, and go on with the game never having to buy anything from the store. Then at the end of the game, sell anything I can't use in MLB Life/Season mode, and use the discount coupon. Then I buy all new equipment, and if I have any money, buy those things that boost your abilities in certain areas. I think they're only $600. I don't know what they're called.

That's exactly what I do. And they're called Waxes (Glove Wax, Spikes Wax, Bat Wax) and cost $60.

If you use all your money on energy drinks you get like 2 turns every turn... if you catch the thief early you can get like 20 drinks just from that

If I use the Active Drink for Energy, I don't actually see a difference in my Energy Meter when I check it. Am I missing something?
